Relaxing vacation
Lovely and spacious villa right at the sea with very nice pool and garden. The staff is super friendly, helpful and skilled in the kitchen. We got delicious meals every day (though the range of goods is slightly limited in the area). All for a very reasonable price. There isn’t much around the villa - only a couple of local warungs and a minimarket (around 10 mins by foot from the villa). If you want to see things, you need to have some kind of wheels.

Retirees relaxation!
2 couples in our 60’s stayed 5 nights in this beautiful villa. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms - but kitchen area was a bit outdated ( not that it mattered to us as Ita and Desak did all the cooking for us! There’s no indoor sitting area other than the dining table, but there’s a fantastic outdoor living room which is very comfortable. The pool was wonderful and a perfect warm temperature . Great views out to the black sand beach and ocean. The gardener came by every morning to trim, rake dropped leaves and clean the pool - amazing! (There was some mossy mildew on some of the patio area which could use a power wash …. but hey - it’s Bali …. EVERYTHING thrives here!!!) Ita and Desak the housekeeper and cook were an absolute delight. Their English is good so we were able to communicate with them on menus. The dinners they prepared for us were some of the best meals we ate throughout Bali. Unfortunately we only met the manager Budi once as he was sick during our visit. Now to our driver - Darma! If Paul and Melanie offer you a private car with driver …… Take them up on this offer. Darma was fantastic- his English is excellent ( he even teaches the children in the village to speak English ). You do need a car in this area - it’s quite remote - 15 minutes drive to the closest town and grocery stores, 10 minute drive to the closest restaurant. Darma drove us to many beautiful waterfalls in the area, along with some other local places of interest . ⭐

More than a house.
Villa Pardu is a roomy four bedroom home with a large, comfy and well appointed patio, built-in pool and lovely landscaping which is situated on a black sand beach. During the day the house is open to the soft ocean breezes and gentle sounds of the waves upon the beach. But there’s more. The staff at the Villa are so amazing that they make the 24 hour plane ride worth the trip. Darma the driver/guide is so knowledgeable about everything Bali that we needed only to tell him the kinds of things we like or were interested in and he put together a daily adventure to Temples, waterfalls, batik artists, coffee farms, chocolate factory, dolphin viewing and for one of us, a sunrise volcano climb and more. Ita, the Villa cook, prepared the best and most beautifully presented meals we had in Bali. We are not big meat eaters, so every meal Ita served was a riot of colors and textures so lovely we couldn’t wait to see what she would create next. Desak, the Villa housekeeper, is so helpful, ask for something and it’s done. She is so sweet and gentle that it is a joy to have her around. The pool and grounds are kept beautifully, the pool is cleaned and vacuumed each morning. Even if you never left the Villa the staff is so helpful and accommodating that you would have a wonderful time. The hosts were responsive to our questions and Budi, the property manager, took care of things that needed repair immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

Marvelous stay
We had spent great holidays. The villa is wonderful, quiet and peaceful with a nice swimming pool. The personnel is absolutly wonderful. Thank you to our driver who was a perfect guide. We discovered a lot of things wiht him about culture, temples; rice fields and life in general. We met a lot of interesting people and discovered so many places. Thank you to kitchen ladies, Marvelous cooks and nice persons. The food they prepared for us every days were absolutly gorgious. We recommand this villa for the beauty of the place and for the very very nice personnel. Veronica and Peter

Excellent séjour
Nous avons passé 5 nuits à la villa Pandu. Et nous sommes ravis. Le cadre est idéal, conforme à ce que nous attendions. Le personnel de la villa est au petits soins. Tous les repas étaient délicieux, préparés pas des cuisinières qui nous ont régalés. Le tout pour une somme dérisoire. Nous avions opté pour l’option « voiture et chauffeur » Dharma nous a concocté chaque jour un programme différent selon nos envies, nous avons eu énormément de plaisir à partager du temps avec lui. Nous sommes pleinement satisfait de notre séjour. Merci à tous Pascale, pascal, François et Céline

One word BRILLIANT
From the initial booking Paul and Melanie were excellent answering any queries quickly. The villa lived up to expectation's and more, my wife and I for the first time ever said we could happily live there. The ladies Ita & Desak who cooked and cleaned the villa for us were marvellous and so nice, a pleasure to be around. A vehicle to get around is a must and we hired the villa vehicle and driver Dharma what a brilliant move that was he is amazing and a real friend by the end of our trip. (Ps if you book him he loves Chelsea if you have any souvenir's to take) Dharma sat down with us on day one and gave us a whole itinerary to choose from if we wished. He had local knowledge and could get better priced deals for us. He took us to some fantastic restaurants one near the end of our holiday specially for the sunset. White Sands Beach Club was great as well, the list goes on. He managed to get me a round of golf as well! Little nuggets of info for you. The villa has a water dispenser with the big drums of water on. Chilled, normal or hot from it for coffee etc. Lots of ATM's Dharma can take you too You give the girls money to buy your food, water comes out of that as well. Tradition you give them all a tip as you leave 6 staff Paul can advise as I am running out of characters on the review. To sum up just brilliant, Paul & Melanie your staff are a credit to you. We travelled with our adult son's and partner we all had a wonderful time and could not recommend the villa more.

Relaxation heaven!
Villa Pandu is the perfect getaway location to enjoy north Bali - the villa is clean, beautifully furnished and the garden and pool are a delight to spend time in. The accommodating and friendly staff take a holiday here to the next level. Our huge thanks to Dharma, our warm, smiling and knowledgeable driver, and to Ita and Desak, who looked after us so kindly with their delicious meals - and those daily massages! I sincerely hope to be back one day!

Quiet and beautiful
This villa is beautiful , the views are amazing . Not a place if you wanna party . This is a place to chill and see local sites . The chefs were amazing . Probably the best food we had on our entire trip .

A trip we will never forget!
Location is great, absolutely beautiful sights with very relaxing vibe. Well kept, properly cleaned. However it wasn’t just the villa itself that made our trip, but the STAFF. It felt like they were all our family for our stay and helped us out so much. The food was amazing & the girls work so hard keeping the villa clean and neat, Security and Gardner do excellent work, and we would not have nearly had as good of a trip without our driver. Very well managed too. Our next vacation could be a hole in the ground, but if it meant we could have all of our staff with us, we would go. We cried when we left, a lot more than I’d like to admit. The whole villa really grows on you, very hard to part with. We WILL be back.

Amazing staff
The staff at the villa are amazing. Ita and Desak made wonderful meals. We also enjoyed massages. The pool was lovely. Dharma our driver was fantastic and we were able to have some great cultural experiences that we would otherwise not be able to do if it wasn’t for him. There was an issue with stray dogs on the property and there were no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors so they should be removed from the listing site. The air conditioning in one of the bedrooms doesn’t work well. Overall we had a wonderful vacation at this villa

Hello Karen, I am very sorry you did not mention this to me! We have almost new airco's but of course something can happen. If you would have mentioned it to me or our manager it would have been fixed the same day!.We don't have heating system so there is no need for carbon monoxide detectors. The smoke detectors were ordered. Stray dogs are everywhere in the world, we can't help that unfortunately. They are not on the property. If there is a village dog walking on the beach we can't do anything. Thank you for your review and I am happy you had a great holiday!

Best place to stay in Bali
We spent an incredible two weeks at Villa Pandu with our two daughters and another family. Pandu is less like renting a villa and more like an all inclusive vacation when you get the driver as well and have them cook for you. Ita and Desak made wonderful meals. They were willing to make whatever we wanted and made good suggestions when we wanted to try the local foods. We just loved the staff. They took care of everything we ever needed. Darma, our driver, created a custom itinerary for us. He went above and beyond to talk to us about what we wanted to see and do and then planned each day perfectly. We wanted to see more of the culture so he took us to a funeral and to his village temple so we could get to know the locals and their customs. We also visited two local schools and did some English Lessons and played games with the kids. It was the highlight of the trip for us. We did fun things like visiting hot springs, going snorkeling and jumping off waterfalls. We also went to a honey bee farm in the jungle which was really fun. The whole staff was so fun to be around. The girls cooked amazing food and Budi was always around to check on us and see if we needed anything. Paul the owner also was always checking to see how things were going. We wished we would of made the reservation for a month. We will be back in the future. If you’re looking for a great relaxing Bali vacation this is the best place you could book.

Relaxing
The staff is friendly and helpful and the villa comfortable. The swimming pool Is lovely. The location is mostly quiet except for noise coming from the beach. Every now and then people on the beach tried to sell us things even when we were on the villa property. Every day 2-3 stray dogs wandered on the villa property which was undesirable. The dolphin viewing was wonderful and the boat picked us up right at beach behind the villa. Our driver Darma was fabulous. He was cheerful, took us to very non-tourist sights after telling him what we liked and was an excellent driver. We highly recommend the rice paddy tour, visit to the local honey farm and the basket making project. All of the former visits were Drama’s suggestions. It would be helpful to have a list in the villa of local recommended restaurants. Also before arriving to ask guests what they like to eat and any food allergies. We recommend sending a menu to guests with choices for meals. That way the cooks know in advance

An AMAZING Stay
Where to begin .. we thoroughly loved our vacation at Villa Pandu. The Villa is as described and the bathrooms with the open ceiling are just amazing. The oceanfront view with the perfect temperature pool was definitely a highlight for us as we spent all of our time outside. The staff at the Villa is truly what made the vacation for us. Ita and Geeta were so lovely and their cooking was superb. They went above and beyond to cook us up wonderful authentic Bali dishes. Our driver Dharma made everyday an adventure for us and did so much research and organization so that we would see all the things we wanted on our list and he made us laugh all day while exploring. I would absolutely recommend this Villa. It is about 4 hours from the airport and the South of the Island, so we didn't explore any of that area, but there is so much to do in the North and Ubud was only about 2 hours away and we also loved it there. We hope to be back next year and to book the Villa for a longer stay.

Beautiful Bali ❤️
We had an amazing family holiday in Bali. Villa Pandu is absolutely stunning with fantastic gardens and beachfront pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and obliging and catered for all our needs. Ita and Desak were wonderful cooks and provided us with some fabulous authentic Balinese meals, we couldn’t fault them. Darma, our driver was incredibly helpful and discussed options for day trips and even phoned in advance to negotiate better rates on activities for us. He certainly went the extra mile and it was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend having a car and driver if considering renting Villa Pandu as the location is fairly remote and the local knowledge of Darma was invaluable. Thank you all for making our stay such a relaxing and memorable experience ❤️

Traum Urlaub!
Wir verbrachten 12 wundervolle Tage in der Villa Pandu und haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Es verlief von der Buchung bis zum Abschied am Flughafen alles reibungslos. Das Haus ist großartig! Vielen Dank an die Mitarbeiter die unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht haben. Die Mädels Ita und Desak haben nicht nur das Haus sauber gehalten, sondern uns auch wunderbare balinesische Köstlichkeiten vorgesetzt und uns mit tollen Massagen verwöhnt. Der Manager Budi hat uns wunderbar zu den Aktivitäten und Ausflügen beraten und zum Teil auch begleitet. Unser Fahrer Tito war jederzeit abrufbereit und hat uns sicher durch die belebten Straßen Balis gebracht. Garten und Pool wurden regelmäßig gepflegt und befinden sich in einem Top Zustand. Also nochmals vielen Dank an die Vermieter Melanie und Paul, an Budi und das großartige Team. Wir können die Villa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Paradise in Bali
My wife and I spent 5 wonderful days at Villa Pandu and we couldn't have been happier. From the wonderful staff that took care of us to the property itself this was an absolutely delightful vacation. We were treated like royalty by everyone at the Villa. Kadek, the driver picked us up right on time at our hotel in Denpasar and made sure our every need was met from that time until he dropped us off again 5 days later. But the best were Ita and Desa who shared their expertise in Balinese cuisine every day with us. They were both talented and kind and made our stay unforgettable. We hope to be able to return shortly and bring more of our family with us to enjoy Bali again!

Paradise in Bali
We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed here for one week at the end of our Bali vacation. What a perfect way to wind down! The house came complete with staff of two excellent cooks and a driver. (We had to pay extra for the driver) We gave them money for groceries, and they cooked amazing meals for us. The pool is right next to the beach, the ocean is just feet away. Our driver, Deta, not only took us everywhere we wanted to go, but translated for us when where was a language barrier. Paul, the owner, came over to make sure everything to our liking. We cannot say enough good things about Villa Pandu, and when we return to Bali we will be staying there again!

vor 5 Jahren waren wir schon mal in Villa Pandu und wurden nicht enttäuscht, genau wir dieses Jahr. Die Villa ist sehr schön, die Schlafzimmer sind alle gross und haben ein eigenes Bad, die Mädels waren immer da wenn man die brauchte und auch der Manager Budi war immer erreichbar wenn wir ihn gebraucht haben. auf jeden fall werden wir irgendwann wieder nach Bali kommen und in Villa Pandu übernachten. Beautiful Bali
From the moment I boooked this villa on homeandaway.co.uk to actually leaving the property after spending our Christmas there I have to say the service and accommodation has been the best I have ever had. Paul and Melanie provided me with every answer for my many questions before we set off and offered continued support while we were away. The villa is stunning! Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. The gardens and pool area were amazing and walking out towards the beach takes your breath away daily. Budi, the manager, was really helpful and so polite, making sure we were ok and happy without being intrusive and the two ladies that cooked and cleaned for us were always happy and smiling which seems to be the standard for Bali. Lovely people. The extra we paid for the driver is a must. What a lovely guy and always on hand to take us wherever and help us sort any trips we wanted to do. The villa is a fair distance from the airport and the journey varies quite a bit depending on the time of day but the views are perfect on the way and the end destination is definitely worth it. The only suggestion I would make to the owners would be to gather a more comprehensive list of places to go eat and drink near the villa. It’s quite a long drive to any great beach clubs etc and we tended to stick to Spice beach club but I do have a feeling we probably drove past a few other places to get to it over the 2 weeks. On the upside Spice did do the best espresso martinis in Bali so we were pretty happy really! Thanks to everyone involved in villa Pandu for making our stay the best holiday ever.

It is not possible to be any happier with Villa Pandu!!
I would give 6 stars if I could! We had a combination of 2 families staying at the Villa for 2 weeks, a total of 4 adults and 3 children. I can't say enough good things about our experience here, it was truly amazing, and made for our most memorable trip yet. First of all, the staff that cares for the Villa are fantastic, they became like family over the two weeks, and went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience, and they took care of everything for us! The children fell in love with the girls that cooked, and cleaned for us, and we all fell in love with their Indonesian culinary arts! Every meal we ate was amazing. Second of all the north west part of Bali was a great place to go to unwind, and detach from the busy South. The people there are very accommodating, and happy to have tourists in their area. It's not as easy to get around, so take the Villa owners advice and hire the driver when you need to go out. We found that we wanted to spend most of our time in the Villa, but we made quite a few treks to Seririt, and Lovina, and one day to Manjangan Island for snorkeling. The Villa manager will happily set this up for you. I would highly recommend this Villa, and we are already planning our next trip! Thank-you again Villa staff!! We will miss you!!!

We hebben een paar heerlijke dagen gehad in Villa Pandu. Het ligt op een mooie plek zonder drukte of lawaai zodat je veel privacy hebt. Het huis is prachtig,schoon en mooi ingericht. Heel vriendelijk personeel en de dames kunnen fantastisch koken. Iedereen staat voor je klaar als je vragen hebt, ze doen alles om je te helpen. Wij komen zeker terug!

Absolutely Wonderful
What an amazing place! It certainly lives up to its pictures. The staff were all wonderful, and Paul was extraordinarily helpful with answering questions we had prior to our stay. I will admit the location was a bit more remote than I had realized, but it really just added to the relaxing vibe. Would definitely recommend for a luxurious beach vacation. Pro tip: get a massage in the tiki hut!! So worth it!!

We enjoy the villa and the staff. Everything was excellent. Services, accommodation, food. All our request were taken seriously. Very professional and friendly. Thanks to the the staff we enjoy our 2 weeks at villa pandu and Bali. Can’t wait to come back at villa pandu!

Sehr schönes Strandhaus im norden Balis
Wir wohnten in der Villa mit 2 Kindern für 5 Nächte. Lage ist sehr ruhig und weg vom Verkehrsgeschehen. Wir nahmen die Kochkünste unserer 2 netten Damen täglich zum Frühstück und Abendessen in Anspruch. Das Essen konnten wir aussuchen und war sehr gut, preislich günstig sowie sehr transparent abgerechnet. Es wird sehr auf westliche Hygiene geachtet und auch nur mit gekauftem Wasser gekocht. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und sind auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Der Aufenthalt im norden Balis in diesem Haus war sicherlich ein Highlight der gesamten Reise.

Genieten van begin tot eind
Een vakantie in Villa Pandu is een vakantie om niet snel te vergeten. De vriendelijkheid van het personeel, de snelheid waarmee van alles geregeld wordt, de rust die je er vind maakt het tot een waar paradijsje. De ervaring in de villa laat je bijna vergeten dat je je op een fantastisch eiland bevindt waar van alles te doen en te zien is. Je wilt zodra je door de voordeur naar binnen bent gekomen eigenlijk nergens meer naar toe. Je waant je voor de tijd dat je hier bent even koning en koningin, alleen dan zonder alle sores en rompslomp van de dagelijkse gang. De dames die ons dagelijks voorzagen van ontbijt, lunch en diner zijn erg vriendelijk en bereiden het eten zodanig, dat we niet eens de behoefte hebben gehad om buiten de deur te gaan eten. We hebben het één keer gedaan, maar de kwaliteit van het eten haalde het niet bij deze dames. De manager van het huis heeft alles prima onder controle. Komt dagelijks even kijken of alles goed gaat, maar blijft nooit te lang, en begrijpt dat je daar bent voor rust en privacy. Echter als er iets te regelen valt, dan heeft hij dat ook zo voor elkaar en kun je de volgende dag zorgeloos in de auto stappen en op weg gaan naar je gekozen activiteit. Het motto van deze man, "U moet zich hier thuis voelen, en het is beter dat wij op u wachten, dan wanneer u op ons moet wachten!". We hebben inderdaad nooit hoeven te wachten. Als er dan toch een minpuntje genoemd moet worden, dan is dat het strand wat direct aan de tuin grenst. In het noorden van Bali heeft men zwarte stranden. Deze nodigen niet uit om op te gaan liggen, en ze zijn overdag bloedheet. Echter, met het zwembad en de rustgelegenheden daar omheen van deze villa, heb je dat strand ook helemaal niet nodig. Je kunt aan het eind van de middag wel genieten van de mooiste zonsondergangen, al liggend op een heerlijk bed. Wij komen niet vaak terug naar een plaats waar we al eens geweest zijn, maar in dit geval zou er in de toekomst zomaar eens een uitzondering gemaakt kunnen gaan worden.

North Bali retreat
We wanted to experience north Bali and we are glad we came here. The staff were all very kind and friendly, and we ate all of our meals here. The pool, house, grounds, and beach were beautiful. We enjoyed snorkeling about 30 minutes away, the Buddhist temple also about 30 minutes drive, and the town and palace of Singaraja. We also swam in the sea right outside the villa. The sunsets, stars, and sunrises were spectacular. The only small negative is the nearby natural gas power plant disturbing a bit of the perfect view. The villa was spacious and the pool is definitely refreshing. We recommend this villa for those that wish to experience the less touristy side of Bali, and the amazing 4- hour drive over beautiful mountain passes, valleys, and lakes/temples on the way.

Besser kann ein Urlaub nicht sein
Vorweg kurz gesagt ,wir haben generell hohe Ansprüche in Punkto Unterkunft und Sauberkeit für unsere Urlaube, und so hatten wir immer 4 bzw. 5 Sterne Hotels gebucht. Dieses Mal hatten wir uns entschieden in einer privaten Villa unseren Urlaub zu verbringen. Wir haben unzählige Fotos von Villen gesehen, jedoch die Fotos von der Villa Pandu haben uns sofort angesprochen. Folglich haben wir dann die Villa gebucht. Wir bekamen sogar noch am selben Tag vom Vermieter Herr Paul Visser einen Rückruf, wo wir sofort am Telefon alle Fragen beantwortet bekamen und Herr Visser uns noch sehr viele Tips gab. Alles lief reibungslos ab, die Abholung am Flughafen, sowie auch der gesamte Urlaub. Die Villa ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles sehr sauber und gepflegt und entspricht zu 100 % den Bildern im Internet. Unsere zwei Perlen Itha und Desak haben uns jeden Tag kulinarisch verwöhnt, indem sie uns immer wieder aufs Neue mit indonesischen Gerichten überraschten. Das Essen war so lecker, dass wir keinen Drang mehr verspürten in ein Restaurant zu gehen. Die liebenswerte und unaufdringliche Art von Itha und Desak erschien für uns als wenn wir allein in der Villa wären. Also Ruhe und Erholung pur am wunderschönen Pool mit fantastischem Blick aufs Meer oder bei einer entspannenden Masage im gemütlichen Bale',dass sich direkt am Strand befindet, auch ausgeführt von unseren Perlen Itha und Desak. Unser Gärtner Agus war ab 6 Uhr morgens im Garten unterwegs und hat dafür gesorgt, dass der Pool und Garten ab 7 Uhr fertig war. Wir hatten auch über den gesamten Urlaub das Auto mit Fahrer gebucht, wodurch wir absolut flexibel waren was unsere Ausflugsgestaltung anbelangte. Ein Lob an unsere Fahrer Gethuk und Jus. Absolut sichere und zuverlässige Fahrer, die uns immer ein sicheres Gefühl im Auto vermittelten trotz des doch sehr ungewohnten Verkehrs auf Bali. Yus ist auch ein ausgezeichneter Reiseführer mit viel Erfahrung. Aber all das hätten wir nicht so toll genießen können wäre nicht unser Manager Budi gewesen. Budi hatte immer ein offenes Ohr für all unsere Wünsche und Belange. Durch Budi und unsere tollen Fahrer konnten wir ein sehr vielseitiges und authentisches Bali kennen lernen abseits der Touristenrouten. Danke Budi,Itha, Desak, Jus, Gethuk und Agus für den unvergesslichen Urlaub. Herr Visser es hat uns gefreut sie auch persönlich kennen zu lernen. Sie haben ein super Team. Zu 100% zum weiter empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder. Gruß Biggi und Gerhard
