"Colonels Mark and Beth are spectacular! Col. Mark went out of his way to make out stay enjoyable. The home itself is magnificent, adorned with beautiful antiques, tapestries and rugs. The breakfasts cooked by Colonel Beth were wonderful. I very highly recommend this bed and breakfast! (By the way both Mark and Beth are actual colonels from their military service!)
However, I would not recommend our room, the "Jacuzzi room"; because the jacuzzi/ bathroom is not in the room. You need to walk out...

"This is probably one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in Athen, Georgia. It was clean, had a great breakfast, and the rooms were nice with big bathrooms. The location is close to shopping and some good chain restaurants. Everyone likes to stay in the downtown area near the college but I will definitely consider this property next time."

The hotel and room was very clean. Ray is the sweetest kindest gentleman. We came down for breakfast late and made sure we had something to eat. The staff at the front test were very kind and helpful as well.
Everything is VERY close to the hotel. Which made things very easy.
My only regret I didn’t book sooner for “move in weekend”

"It’s the third time I have stayed at this hotel and all three times the service was good, my room was comfortable, and I enjoyed a quick breakfast downstairs. The price was a little high this time probably because it was move-in weekend for University of Georgia, but I will be coming back again."

"It was our first time booking with Homewood Suites. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel, really nice facility good breakfast. A few things to note. The water was cold and the pressure low. It took a long time to warm up and it was luke warm at best. Secondly change the shower tub combo to a shower. The tub was high and slippery. You had to exercise caution getting in and out ."
