Overall, we had a pleasant stay. When we arrived, there was an issue with the heating, but the host was very responsive and accommodating. The problem was addressed quickly and completely, and extra blankets were provided right away, which we appreciated.We were asked to set the thermostat below 70F when we departed. It would have been nice if the house had been closer to that temperature upon arrival rather than the 59F it initially was.We did notice a few dead ladybugs and a dead stink bug near the front door and the sliding glass door. This gave the impression that the house may not have been cleaned immediately prior to our arrival, perhaps a week or two earlier. Aside from that, the house itself was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained.The property worked very well for our group of 12 women, ages 40–75, who were visiting for the Iced Wine Festival over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend in March.

An Excellent Place to Stay @GOTL

This home accommodates our family perfectly. There was plenty of room for all of us and our dog The location is perfect for us to go to Breakwater beach, and GOTL strip

Sisters Bachelorette Party

My sister has tons of amazing friends. This property was perfect for us. There was plenty of room to hang out together and have some quiet space to relax. Thank you so much for letting us stay. We had an amazing weekend.

Storm cut our stay

This is our favorite place to stay at GOTL. The space accomodates my family of 8 adults 2 children and one dog very well. The only complaint we had was for the size of the home, the kitchen did not supply enough cookware to accomodate a large group. A few large pots & pans would have been awesome! We planned on staying 5 nights but OH experienced a horrible storm that left us without power after just 3 nights. Within minutes of contacting the host about the power outage they were on the doorstep with flashlights. The power stayed out longer than anticipated so the host contacted us and offered us a refund if we needed to leave. Their level of professionalism and courtesy was so refreshing! We were bummed we had to cut our trip short, but this had nothing to do with the hosts. This was our 2nd time at this house and will be back!

Roomy home

Our multi-generational family vacations together every summer. We use VRBO to locate large homes to accommodate the 16 of us. We loved the outdoor space and comfortable beds of this home. The deck space was very nice, but needed repairs. Our only disappointment was the lack of kitchen amenities as we cook most meals at home. There weren't any sharp knives, large bowls, and only a two-slice toaster. We always appreciate a well-stocked kitchen that allows for cooking for a small army. The location and quietness of the neighborhood was nice.

Family summer vacation close to home

The home was extremely spacious! Clean, the owner was very easy to communicate with! Walking distance to golf cart rental Quiet neighborhood was a plus. My grand children and children enjoyed their stays!!

Great stay and easy to get to the strip

The house was the perfect size for our group. We had 16 people and everyone slept comfortably with all the different beds, couches and pull out couches. The drive way was long enough to fit everyone’s cars and the back yard is spacious! Also, the strip and wineries are nearby so taking taxis was easy. Overall very happy!

Great stay with the family

We stayed for a long weekend and it was great. Had a few questions prior to staying and they were very quick to respond. Plenty of space for our large family which included three kiddos and two dogs. Kids LOVED the ninja turtle game. It was a perfect, relaxed getaway to just be together.

Needs lots of TLC…

This house has so much potential and is dire need of TLC, deep cleaning and attention. If I could upload pictures here of how dirty the bathrooms, floor (my feet were black when walking on - I ended up mopping the whole first floor myself), and ran down the look of it was - I would. The location is 3 mins from one park and 10 from the state park (which is great). We had rain everyday and were in the home a lot. The carpets and all vents were dirty and the board games offered were missing pieces (we did bring our own). The 4 seasons room they tried to make into a bunk room has skylights (which could be cool) except they are super bright for sleeping purposes and the full/queen bed in room beside the bunk room didn’t have curtains…. The bathroom on the first floor is not with the “bedrooms”, it’s on the other side by the garage door, through the kitchen. There were only 6 dining chairs in the whole place (we had seven people and it’s says you can have up to 10), so one person was out everytime eating or playing cards. Like I said, with some cleanliness, updating and actual care… it could have potential.

Good for groups

Nice spacious house, very pleased with the responsiveness of the rental agency when we encountered a few issues with a broken sofa bed and some missing bedding, as well as a quick internet outage. Really liked the huge yard and fire pit. The picnic tables were nice for extra seating for our big family group. Having a few essentials better stocked (trash bags, dish pods) is a small investment that would go far with making for a better experience, as well as if the kitchen was better stocked with things for big groups like larger serving bowls and chefs knives. Overall a fun time in the house though, and appreciative of the quick responses to our questions and needs along the way. Thank you for that!

New Years

We had several of our family come for new years eve, some out of town. This was the perfect place to stay, because of all the bedrooms. The room with the games and bunkbeds were a hit with the kids. Overall the stay was good, although the beds were somewhat uncomfortable. New mattresses would make a big difference. Thanks for letting us stay and truly enjoy our 2023 new years.

Very nice house

The fridge may be ready to break. It did not keep our stuff very cold despite being on the highest setting. Other than that it was very peaceful and clean. A pool table would be a nice addition.

Excellent home base for a group!

My group and I booked this home to use as a home base while exploring the Geneva-On-The-Lake region. We went to a few wineries 15 minutes away over the weekend, drove 2 minutes down the road to the park to watch the sunset over the water, and even cooked a few meals at the home. It was a wonderful location and the amenities were very accommodating. Excellent choice for a group!
