Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 2 week getaway vacation. I had a great time. Close, but not too close to town and enjoyed the private location. The Elks Springs company communicated very well via text and email. I was well prepared when I saw the first of several black bears and ground hogs that roamed the area. With a little common sense and some respectful distance, they truly added to the back-to-nature experience. I would highly recommend Elk Springs for the mountain-cabin vacation. Thanks guys!

We had a bear several nights that came right up on the porch. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and well decorated. Only complaint is no pantry space.

It was in a great location and it was easy to get to downtown Gatlinburg as well as to Smoky Mountain National Park. The maintenance team was extremely responsive, kind and helpful. I hope we will make it back again!

Upon arrival, the hot tub was malfunctioning. They had someone out to fix it asap. The back deck feels private, and would be even more so during summer when trees are full. Close enough to trails and city to drive there, but still feels quiet and private. I would definitely rent again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first rental in the Smoky Mountains. We couldn't be happier with our rental experience! It was a refuge to relax in after sitting for 2.5 hours in traffic returning from Cades Cove - word of advice the park is nuts on the weekend, weekdays were a much nicer experience.The only issue was low water pressure. I assume that may have to do with the location. A very minor inconvenience in an otherwise fantastic experience. Also, don't forget to bring your own blow dryer and toiletries.
