  • The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone offers different dramatic looks and moods dependent on the time of day. The falls are luminous in the morning. In the evening when this photo was taken, the canyon takes on a soft, almost painterly light. If you can, make a visit right after sunrise and return for the sunset.

  • We visited this location but ideally needed to be there in the afternoon as the sun was on the "wrong" side of the arch. I used a wide lens to capture the arch and didn't attempt to correct the distortion as I felt it added to the picture (for me anyway). It took a long time to get this without hoardes of people in the shot.

Comfort of home

Great location, short walk into town and short drive into the park and to see animals in and around town. I have stayed in numbers of houses in town and outside of town the past ten years and this take our favorite spot.

This property is very well maintained and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.. Some type of table or rack would be nice in the bedrooms to place luggage on.

Beautiful spacious house

This was a beautiful property - well furnished, clean, and had everything and more than what we needed in terms of supplies. The host was very responsive and responded to our questions very quickly. Would highly recommend!

Comfortably, can use a little more cleaning hair from other prior guest in rugs, towels smelled muggy, sheets had to wash them since many hair from other guest, dusty. It would be nice if they had blender🙂

Walk to Yellowstone Arch!

Our group enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and there was plenty of space for everyone. You can walk just about everywhere you would want to go. Towels were plentiful and beds were comfortable. Other reviews spoke of the neighborhood but we saw nothing wrong with the area and felt very safe. There were stairs to 2 of the bedrooms-not a problem for us but could be for others. Overall very nice!

Great stay for yellowstone

Large place and fit 7 of us very comfortably. Clean, minutes away from yellowstone, back deck area had a good view. Only downside is they only had wineglasses to drink out of :)

This property doesn’t appear but its truly a comfy , clean and really close to market place and most importantly to the yellowstone entrance. Our family really enjoy the stay and are thankful for all which was provided. The kitchen spaces and laundry and all The rooms. We where totally safe.

Nothing as described

The house is situated in an alleyway, where you are immediately greeted with profanity laced signs. There is no privacy, there is barely enough room to park a vehicle, and the property is nothing as described. We opted to find some where else and sleep in our vehicles as the neighborhood was so sketchy it looked like your vehicle would be broken into or vandalized

This home is as listed and better! One of the cleanest VBRO we have stayed at. The kitchens are well stocked with everything you will need. The beds are comfortable. We had a great time here. We saw a ton of wildlife just from the windows!

Missing Facts

Hello guys We have recently stayed in this property from 14th Aug till 18th Aug 2021 and we’re 14 people and we have faced multiple issue during are stay first thing I would like to mention that they have not put up the pictures of the exterior of the cabin if you will look at that you will have second thoughts before book it . There was lack of some basic amenities for which we have to keep calling the property manager . First thing we faced is that common bathroom lock was not working besides letting them know about the issue they couldn’t fix it as if it was big task and needed huge man power to complete the work . The whole stay somebody has to stay outside the bathroom so that no child should trespass while the bathroom is in use . Kitchen is not fully equipped for the 14 people and I am not talking about the fancy pots or anything but the basic utensils . They don’t have broom or any vacuum if you drop something or spill something on the floor you have use your hands to collect it . The owner has put stickers everywhere like cabinet is broken don’t open , only three people can stand on a porch at a time etc , bedsheets and bath towel was not clean , cabinets were given but it was full of dirt if you want to use it clean yourself and they put clothes after that , there was a glass table which was really dangerous and it was broken we have to take really good care as we were having kids aging between 2-4 yrs , beds were not comfortable enough too . The only good thing was , it was very much near to the North Entrance .

Excellent experience

We had planned a vacation for our 3 generation family of 14, for the summer of 2020. This house fit the bill, COVID however hit the country and we communicated with the owner whor graciously accepted to change the date for 2021. We finally got to Gardiner on August 5th and were extremely pleased by how spacious and clean was the property. The two kitchens were a plus for a large family as were the 3 bathrooms. The proximity to stores was very practical as was its proximity to decent restaurants. Most of all, the North Yellowstone entrance allows rapid access to this park, a jewel of nature. Wonderful experience for old and young alike. The owner was responsive and pleasant. The only negative points were: one single outdoor garbage bin (the owner came to empty when called) and the lack of a broom or vacum cleaner. Overall an excellent property to rent for anyone thinking of visiting the area. To top the experience, there were Elk and Deer in the backyard 3 of the 5 days we were there.

Great Location

Great Location, so close to park, and you can walk to any restaurants in Gardner. House has a "reading Nook" and another small room with a door. Kids who didn't want to share a room could easily put a cot into these small spaces so they could have privacy.

Great location!

To be really honest, as we pulled up to the house, I was really surprised to see the condition of the exterior. The paint was peeling, there was a brand new home being built next door, so there was alot of construction material. But after walking in, we were all shocked and pleasantly surprised! The location is GREAT! Walking distance to market, subway, and other food places. Also, white water rafting was right there! We walked to and from. Three were some issues with the home, but really minuscule compared to the pros of the house! Some things to note though, the beds were comfortable but bedding was not, too silky. Couldn't find a blender, vacuum or broom in home. The kitchen supplies were minimal but enough and in good condition. There were 2 kitchens, we ended up using the upstairs one coz it was more spacious and had an island. But no dining table. Downstairs, the kitchen is smaller, but had a dining table. All in all, we had made alot of memories in Gardiner and yellowstone. Kids had a blast! Would definitely recommend this home to others!

Great place for family to spread out

We rented both lower and upper levels of this home. I had a family of five with adult children. Place was immaculate and loved the kitchen on lower level. This house is 5 mins away from Yellowstone North entrance. Gardiner is a much smaller town than I expected so dining options are very limited.

Hall toilet need some attention, tub backed up, maybe hair obstruction, coffee pot not cleaned, stairs need refinishing, decking is not stable, laundry room lacks hanging hardware . Place was very roomy and functional.

Worked perfect for some training and a retreat

Property is within walking distance of a nice market and lots of restaurants. Two living areas, upstairs and downstairs with two bedrooms each. Upstairs master suite was nice. Property inside was clean and well furnished. We had great time exploring Yellowstone Park and the town of Gardiner. We had 7 adults from work. We trained in the living rooms for a few hours and sent some time relaxing and having fun.

Gardiner House

The house was very clean and a convenient walk to everything. From the picture, we had assumed it was somewhat secluded - it is not. However, the outdoor area was great for grilling and for large family dining. We all enjoyed it. A few more child friendly glasses would be nice.....Overall , a great experience.

Easy to reach property manager! Large accommodation, convenient location!

There was a slight disconnect on where to find the key. I called the property manager and they came right away to figure it out! House was large. Only improvement I would make to the listing is to add how the rooms were for number of people/bed types. It would have helped us plan differently. Convenient location. No cleaning supplies available to take care of spills or tidy up - I think with the intent they take care of it all. Would have helped to keep place tidy as we stayed if basic stuff like broom and dustpan available. Would HIGHLY recommend this location for larger groups!

Spacious property with tons of surprise

The property is exactly as listed. Spacious with two floors, downstairs totally renovated with a granite new kitchen and tons of cooking supplies. A reading room and two rooms on the floor with a washroom and living areas right at the door. The upstairs unit contains another kitchen, washer and dryer and one master bedroom, other rooms with two bathroom on the upstairs. Spacious backyard and front sitting areas. Curved brand new TVs make your evening entertainment wonderful vacation experience. You often see animals around, we saw a young deer eating the grass in the backyard and one rabbit in the front in the morning. It is located in the small town of Gardiner but on the quiet side of the street where you are close to the general store(400 meters) while enjoy a quiet night sleep. Everything is big and luxrious in this property with local taste. It is very good location to visit yellowstone park, especially lamar valley and mammoth hot springs.

Excellent Place

We stayed here for 5 days as we explored Yellowstone. We could not have asked for a better location. The home was clean, welcoming, and has beautiful outdoor spaces for sharing time together.
