Worth a stay
We loved our stay, the room was nice and the bed was comfy. The hotel it self is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is very friendly. And we also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet! We will most definitely be back.

Fint ophold
Super fint og hyggeligt sted. Lige ud til vandet og vi var så heldige at få et glimt af nordlyset herude. Sengen var ok, men ikke den bedste.

Great quite place with time to relax, work and disconnect. It’s in the middle of now where, but with Álftanes Kaffi close to the village, you have good food close. Using this place when I travel with work to disconnect and get a lot done.

Such a shame
Sorry to say, but this was not the experience we had quite hoped for. We lost power to the room - we could see it was only the 'house' that we lived in, the other facilities were working fine. This meant we had to find our way around the room and get dressed in the morning in complete darkness. When we returned that night it was fixed - but if connecting the a phone to charge is what kills the power, then you have a problem. The rooms where allright, but pray you don't have anyone sleeping in the room above or beside yours because you can hear absolutly everything! I mean, you can hear the person snoring in the other room. Also, be aware that you need to pick up your key at another hotel about 15 min drive away from where you are acctually staying.

The owner is living there so he could fix the electric right away if you have knocked on the door in the morning :) Check in is at Hotel viking, you can see that before you book the room with us:)

Fantastisk udsigt og beliggenhed. Meget stille.
Beliggenheden er fantastisk med udsigt over Atlanterhavet. Gode værelser. Godt badeværelse. Servicen kunne have været bedre, selv om det var i småtingsafdelingen. Uagtet rengøring hver dag, måtte vi afvente at nogen kom til receptionen for at få udleveret toiletpapir. To små plastglas til vin mv. gik i stykker på 1. dagen, disse blev ikke udskiftet, ligesom der ikke blev suppleret med kaffe og the breve. Varmen i badeværelset virkede ikke.

Fantastisk beliggenhed.
Skønt nybygget hotel. Dejlig udsigt med vand rundt om hotellet. Store dejlige værelser og meget rent. Men der er ikke noget I området, man skal have bil for at komme rundt el. for at få noget mad. Morgenmad heller ikke tilgængelig, men det ved man når man booker. Stadig lidt byggerod på pladsem, tror det kan blibe rigtig skønt når det er 100% færdigt. Men jeg kommer gerne igen på dette hotel en anden gang, virkelig dejligt udsigt fra hotellet.

I loved how secluded it was, not very walkable although there was a bus stop maybe within 10 minutes of walking distance. Beautiful sunsets and amazing views all around on this part of the island.

The property was the perfect introduction to Iceland for me. The property has a unique and beautiful character to it. It's obviously a labor of love. It's also kept and maintained well. And its location allows me to enjoy the ocean up close and revel in its isolated location, ideal for viewing Aurora. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stayed here at the start and the end of the trip. The way out was amazing, beautiful property however very disappointed on the return. There is a lot of variability between accommodations. It wasn’t set up for three people, the hair dryer didn’t work, the pillows were awful. I hate leaving less than positive reviews but I was dissapointed on the return.

hi sorry to hear that you did not like it. however you can always contact us and we can help with almost everything, there is a switch for the hairdryer to turn it on, and it is no problem for us to come and make the room for more people and to change the pillows. hope you have a good day!

Was able to see the Northern Lights as it isn’t a highly light polluted area, bathroom was set with new towels and cleaned everyday, very quiet area and the hottub was amazing. Would stay again if I came back to Iceland

This property has absolutely stunning views. On top of that the place is clean, comfortable, and quiet. The sauna and hot tub are great bonuses. Would highly recommend to anyone!

La struttura è molto caratteristica ed è a due passi dall’oceano in una zona super tranquilla! Camera bella con letto matrimoniale e soppalco con due letti singoli. Pulizia non eccezionale ma ok. Avevamo solo 2 accappatoi nonostante fossimo 4 ospiti. Per il resto tutto ottimo 👍

very cool and unique place to stay. perfect if you have a car for your trip. kind of impossible to get to without car. very warm cosy cabins and amazing views. sauna and hot tub are amazing to have for your stay but they could be a bit warmer in my opinion. very clean. fresh towels and bed sheets provided every day. loads of parking and smooth check in and check out experience. would highly recommend for drivers in Iceland !!!

If you want to see the northern light, this hotel is great for you. But do not expect any service. The safe did not work, they said they would come, but nobody came. We did not know how to lock the door, called and nobody came after two international calls. The worst thing is in the mid-night, someone used their key to open our room and insisted he had this room. It is so scary.

Beautiful surroundings, very easy check in, key was left in the room for us. Plenty of spaces to park. Room was very clean and comfortable with robes for the hot tub. Heating was perfect.

This place was an amazing property and the perfect icelandic stay. We had an issue only because the property stated that it had a sofa bed and we thought we were booked for 4 people, but that sofa bed was not a pull out sofa or an extra bed. I do believe it may have been a mistake on our end or on expedia. The man was very helpful and answered phone calls even though we checked in late at night. The check in process was also slightly confusing because it says self check-in but you do have to call the facility to request your room #. This was confusing because we were unsure if we had to drive physically to the office 15 mins away or just call, so I recommend you call and get your room number in advance. Overall, would stay hete again in a heartbeat for much longer, especially now that i know the check-in process is so easy. Thank you for our stay.

The most quaint, adorable, ideal location to stay at when traveling. It’s a recreated lil fishing village just perfect. I slept with the window open to hear the waves crashing against the rocks. So magical.
