McGee's had a blast!

This property was amazing and we are definitely planning on coming back soon. The size of the property was perfect for our extended family. The pool was so wonderful for our grandkids!

Best location and great stay!

Amazing time with friends and family! so close to the beach so kids could walk on their own, and the pool was great for the kids when not wanting to go to the beach. The house easily accommodated two large families and we did not feel on top of each other. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house, not so beautiful care

This is a beautiful home but between mother nature and lack of attention this is not as advertised. Dishwasher was not working and full of rancid water, no offer to replace it until our last full day of the week we were there, sheets found with blood stains from a possible bloody nose, a tv in a bedroom with a cracked screen, the tilt out panels around the hot tub do not open and a repeat from older reviews, the outdoor roll up panel to the TV does not work, nor does the TV, the outdoor bar was absolutely filthy and the grill was disgusting. Spent over an hour and a half just getting that suitable for use. The second-floor deck furniture had chairs with broken legs and rusted arms with paint peeling that left your skin itching. All of this could have and should have been checked off by the management team after the previous renters used it. Topped off by a neighbor that has dogs that bark anytime any of us sat on the deck. So much for the "noise sensitive" statement noted in the listing! That too was a previous review complaint. This was not an unbearable stay because of the location but not a recommended one, a lot better out there.

Retirement is great when you can share with Family!

This house was just perfect for our family. The two bedrooms that have the additional twins in them is very helpful with young children. And everyone appreciates having the en-suite bathrooms! Big enough for space for everyone and the pool area was set up for fun with the pool and shade for the chairs to just hang out. Beautiful house and location!

Friends 50th

The inside of the home was beautiful. The outside was not as clean. We reported plumbing issues and lack of towels when we got there. Response to text was fast but none of the issues were ever addressed. That was disappointing. Overall the house was VERY nice and the pool was fabulous. Our group had a great time

Fabulous!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time! The house was absolutely beautiful. The perfect retreat for our family! The pool, and the proximity to the beach was icing on the cake!

Great vacation

This property has plenty of bedrooms and bunkbeds for our grandchildren and children. We loved the Christian signs for decoration and we read the beach scripture book readings every day. The house was well packed, and we tried to take excellent care of it.

Great property and location but...

House was big enough for our large group to have their own bedroom and bathroom. Nicely decorated, plenty of seating inside and out with a large covered deck. Beach was a short walk away and because of this it wasn't so windy at the house. But... We had to clean pots, pans, dishes, and glassware before we could use them. Secondary balconies had broken furniture so you couldn't sit on them. General upkeep was lacking; rust and mold in some outside areas. Dust, dirt, and personal items from previous guests under furniture. In spite of that we had a good vacation.

Large House in Close Proximity of Beach

There are not many 5 bedroom houses, so from that standpoint alone, it really worked out well for us. The layout is nice, there's a large living / kitchen / dining room area to hang out with a large group of people. Pool was great and beautiful landscaping. So all those things you'd think would add up to a great review. However, we just can't quite do that since there were a few things that weren't great. It's apparent the new owners have done some remodeling work, but the house still needs some TLC. Cabinet doors are falling off, shower & sink drains don't drain very well, kitchen is not well stocked in terms of pots & pans, pool bathroom was not well cleaned, the hot tub area was claustrophobic because none of the slatted windows would stay open, etc. I reached out to the owners 3 times (parking question, checking in early & reporting other issues we wanted to make sure they were aware of that weren't caused by us) and literally got zero response / acknowledgement. All that aside, it's not a bad house at all. And if you add up the money for 5 couples staying in hotel rooms - it's not bad for the money either. But we couldn't say that we would stay here again without looking at other places first. It wasn't amazing. It was good. Oh, and there's absolutely nothing to be done about this, but be prepared for 2-3 yapping dogs next door that will wake you up VERY early. The owner clearly is a permanent resident and knows their neighbors are renting. They made zero effort whatsoever to curb the barking. It is what it is. If you go into this property with realistic expectations I do think that you'll have a good time. As I said, we enjoyed many aspects of the house. It is close enough to walk to the beach, but far away enough not to be so windy. The house seems to be situated so that the wind isn't so bad there, so it made sitting out by the pool or the front deck very enjoyable.

Great place for a weekend visit

Upon arriving check in was very easy. House was very clean and all amenities were there. The only 2 negatives I experienced were the communication and the beds. I had reached out to the manager of the house through the VRBO messaging system and it took them a week to get back to me. They did mention a backlog and to message them on their website but I prefer to keep all communication though the booking platform. I massaged them again a few days later for other questions but never received a reply. The beds were too soft for my and other's liking. They were feather mattress topperd and really kept in the warmth (not ideal for spring or summer). That being said, I did not take any rating away for this as many people do like soft beds - just noting my preference. Overall a great place to stay!

Perfect for a family vacation

This rental property was perfect for our group. Very short walking distance to the beach and a pool for when the beach was too cool. The house is nicely stocked with all we would need for our stay.

House could be better...

There were three generations of our extended family staying here. The inside of the house was clean and the space was generous but there were lots of minor and some not so minor maintenance issues. The most serious was a railing missing from the balcony that any one of our grandchildren could have fallen through. I did call and maintenance fixed it within 24 hours. The gate on the balcony didn't latch properly. In the kitchen, the dishwasher didn't have a knob and we could never get it to run right so we ended up washing the dishes by hand. According to other reviews, it's been this way for some time. Near the end of our visit two kitchen outlets stopped working. Overall, the cabinets were very cluttered and disorganized. In the game room, some base cabinets wouldn't close and gaped open. There was a long strip of baseboard that had come loose. Most of the toilet paper holders were broken, one of the showers didn't have a handle, and most of the sinks had no drain stoppers. A control knob was off the whirlpool in the master bath. The curtain rod came apart in the master when we opened it. We fixed it ourselves Outside, around the pool there were bits of glass and beer caps that the kids could have stepped on but we cleaned them up. A couple of the patio chairs were seriously busted up. The hot tub was inside a room that was messy and uninviting.The pool itself was nice and clean. Our last full day the alarm started beeping. We called and got that resolved.That afternoon the A/C in the kitchen/family room area quit working so we left a note. It's a good house but for the maintenance issues.

The house slept a lot of people and had a nice outdoor area but the inside needs some TLC

We had a large group (12) down for a reunion weekend and the house had enough room to accommodate us all pretty comfortably. The kitchen/living area is open in addition to the game room but needs some updating and a little maintenance. The outside area was nice with the pool and outdoor grill. The one big issue we had was that the AC went out two different times over the weekend which wasn’t fun, two of the three nights several of us had to sleep in either 80 degree bedrooms or out on the couches. The house is for sale and will presumably need to have these issues addressed prior to selling, would be nice if they would go ahead and repair them while regularly renting the home.

This is a nice, but rented allot and is a tired property.

This property is rented almost nonstop. It’s nice but needs some attention. The lock to the elevator on the first floor is difficult. The pool was nasty but once I contacted to management company, they had the service company come right out. The next problem we experienced was roaches in the dish washer, bedrooms and bathrooms. The management company had the AC repaired the day after we checked in. The TP holder was broken.

Not worth the price they charged!!

House was nice and big but there were roaches all over the house, a lot of the furniture was damaged and the refrigerator was not cooling so all of our groceries spoiled! The swimming pool was not cleaned and the jets were not working. Great access to the beach and the square footage was great! I feel like it was okay, but too many small issues that made our trip that much less enjoyable.

Nice House, Needs TLC

We rented for a family trip in April 2018. Silverscape had more than enough room for our crew of 9 adults and 2 kids with bathrooms everywhere, plenty of entertainment (pool/ping pong table and kids pool toys), and although the pool was too cold (not heated) the hot tub made up for the shortfall. Great location a block from the beach. Upon arrival at 4:30pm however the 4-person cleaning crew was still finishing up, reportedly due to the prior guests party, and they likely did not have enough time for a deep clean. The house is currently for sale, which may explain the feeling of past due maintenance and need of general TLC; from porch spindle / baluster wood rotting (hazard for children and pets), to towel holders falling out of the wall, to no knob on the dishwasher, considering what we paid, the house was acceptable but fell short of expectations. The neighbors are also clearly not happy with the home being a rental property making several remarks during our time there, even throwing a flower pot at our porch after they had too many drinks one night; luckily one person in our group was awake to hear / see the matter unfold. Management was apologetic of the neighbors' behavior over a text message. The common area electronics are sufficient, but to turn on cartoons for the kids, get ready to read a schematic of steps, added onto from guests in the past to do so. I would still recommend Silverscape, but there is certainly room for improvement by the current management company or future owners.
