Boardwalk is definitely a fun and full entertainment place to stay . Right on the beach with plenty of fun to go around . Will definitely get the 6 person room next time for more area to hang out in . But the 4 person room is nice to

Was easy to access and communication was awsome. Kids loved pool and splash area and mini golf area. Only thing we found we didnt like was mosquitoes but thats not the resort issue. Pack bug spray and all will be great and a wonderful stay

The only recommendation we have is that a soap dispenser or bottle of soap with paper towels be available so you can wash your hands after using the restroom and before you eat. The beds were comfortable and we really did not spend much time in the room but overall it was a great place on the beach with easy access!!

They canceled our reservation!

I can't imagine why you would send this email since you canceled our reservation with only one day's notice. We booked months ago and you waited until one day before our stay. We are severely disappointed.

The photos do not look anything like this property. Our room was so filthy I spent $30 on cleaning supplies to try and clean the nasty disgusting bathroom. Sheets had stains. Mold everywhere. We both did not sleep a wink. Very sketchy. Non-responsive management. It was horrible.

Wouldn't go again

Pictures are deceiving. Place was extremely crowded, so much so that it wasn't possible to enjoy the nice amenities on the first floor (under the building). Pool was so cloudy and filled with sand we didn't get in. They really need to put trash cans out around the common areas so that people don't toss their beer bottles, cans, etc. all over the place. Our room hadn't been completely painted yet. Overall, the building itself was nice, but it was just too crowded with people (I believe there are roughly 40 units in this building), and they really need to do a better job of managing the litter all over the place.

Great location for the beach.

Great location for a beach stay. BEWARE of the MOSQUITOS, this area is heavily populated with mosquitos. The bug spray didn't even work for us, around the property and on the beach so many damn mosquitos. Beach was dirty from liter from guest and other people visiting that area of beach. You can drive on the beach in this location so anyone could be there. Plently of room for guest to entertain outside. There is a pool and hot tub but I wouldn't use it. Saw a couple having s*x Sunday morning in it. Half the rooms at this property face that direction and you clearly saw the couple engaging in s*xual activity. So beware letting your kids run around unsupervised you never know about the other guest around you. Rooms are on the smaller size but if all you're there for is the beach and to sleep in the room its perfect. Just make sure you're able to climb a latter or steep steps in order to get to the beds. There is no standing up by the beds you have enough room to craw into the bed, maybe you can sit up but head space is limited. Comfortable mattress felt like memory foam. No counter space or table, needs to have more hooks in the room so you can hang your beach towel or bath towels. Also bring with you bath towels and hand soaps, shampoos, conditioner, extra toilet paper and paper towels.

Worse reservation ever!!!!!!!!

Worst reservation ever. Booked this september of 2022for a stay in may of 2023. Received an email saying they were looking forward to my stay and they would send a room number and code at 2 pm the day of my stay. I drove 14 hours and arrived a little early around 9 am the day of our stay. Since it is right on the beach we planned to just play and swim on beach until check in. We did that then arrived at the property at 2pm on day of stay. No email arrived, no workers around. Called emergency number and was told reservations were having an issue and it would be sent shortly. 2 other parties had arrived also and neither had any communication about their stay. 430 now and still no email or text and the emergency number is no longer picking up. I had to leave my 2 sons at the property with our luggage because i gad to pick up more people from the airport. Some workers were replacing an air-conditioning unit so i asked about someone to contact, he walked me to the beach were the owner was fishing. I asked the owner for help and he said he couldnt do anything that they were having a resetvation issue and they would send something shortly. I left to airport. At 5 pm the other 2 parties received emails sayingbtheir reservation was cancelled. No reason or explanation. I never received anything. Owner came up around 730 and asked if we still needed help. I said yes and he left. We ended up staying at another location. Never received any information.

Steer Clear!!!

I booked this place for my 19 year old daughter to stay this past weekend, and conditions were so bad that she ended up crashing on the couch of the property I was staying at instead. The beds were not made, there was not a single towel to be found anywhere, the walls and bathroom were dirty and stained, there was no wi-fi, and the remote for the TV did not function. When she and her partner checked in, the AC would not turn on, so she contacted the owner. It had been unplugged, but that was not obvious due to the location of the unit. This would not have been a problem, except that the owner's behavior was quite erratic when he came by to look at it, and after solving the issue, he made a crude gesture at her with his tongue. She and her partner did not feel safe staying there due to his behavior, and vacated the property immediately, leaving the key where they found it.

Had high hopes but ended disappointed.

Had to call to get room and access code. Did not send out as stated. Hot tub was GREEN (shame it wasn't in working order). Seems like facility had good ideas in past but nothing has been maintained/repaired. Mattress was just 5 inch foam. We left a day early to sleep in our own bed. Seems more of a hostel feel. Very minimal. Seems owner is trying to squeeze ever penny from it without putting any money into it. We tried something different for us, but I don't think we will be back.

They cancelled our reservation! Had not received our text with code and room # by 3pm, called again at 3:30, put us off again, called again at 4pm, was rude to us! At 4:10, called again and he said our room was cancelled! I will expect a full refund on my credit card immediately! And sewer was overflowing and smelled awful outside!

Paid for our room in advance thru Expedia. When we arrived at the property I received a text message from the Property Manager who wanted me to text him my credit card information. When I asked for a secure method to share this financial information, he did not respond & we could not access our room. Terrible customer service! We had to find another place to stay yet, the Boardwalk would not give us access to a room nor did they refund our money. Be prepared to be disappointed!

Awful Horrible No Good Very Bad Day

We were extremely excited about staying on the Boardwalk. But when we arrived we were a little disappointed. NONE of the advertised amenities were useable. We understood that the pool would not be available as it is December but thought all the other things would make it a great stay with kids. My 13 year old was horrified. We were honestly gonna make the best of it. But the next day i left a google review of the property and with in minutes the property manager was calling me screaming and cussing. He not politely told us to get off the property and then hung up . He then would not take our phone calls (we tried multiple times) or text messages. We contacted Hotels.com and they said there was nothing they could do because of a none canvellation policy. We did remove ourselves from the property, leaving our room cleaner than we found it. 3 days later we still have not heard back from the property manager. We ate $501 worth for 1 night, and still had to go find somewhere else to stay for the remaining 3 nights of our vacation. Still waiting to see if the extra $190 pending on our credit card will drop off. The Boardwalk knows how to ruin a vacation.

Never again

I don’t think I’ll stay here again. I have 6 kids with me and my mom. There are stickers in the so called grass everywhere. The volley ball is flat and stickers covering half the sand. The cubby holes and stairs are not made for bigger people or people with bad knees. They don’t even provide trash can down stairs by picnic tables. Only one by grill. 3 out front were plum full and trash going everywhere. Hot tub is closed as well and to cold for pool even though it’s open. Stickers up all the stairs and hallways. Where ur shoes. They don’t even provide a broom in rooms. My shower wasn’t cleaned. Dishes were in cabinet but still dirty. They don’t provide dish soap or even a dish rag to wash dishes either. We tried our best to clean but with one small trash can no extra bags it’s kind of hard with none of the extras we needed to clean.

Right By the beach with bare basic amenities

Non WiFi and only stairs at property. Pool and hit tub water did not look clean so we did not use. Also there was not a stove or working microwave/oven to heat food. Overall okay, but could have been cleaner and more accurate pictures of amenities. It was very close to the beach so if that the most important this is a perfect option to with basic amenities.

Room wasn’t very clean. Was not expecting the room to be so tiny. Did not know the sleeping arrangements would be 3 beds high. Tiny ladder like staircase to get in the beds. No handrails, which made putting small children to bed very difficult. The bed where like cubby holes which got really hot because no air could circulate. The property was very run down. Does not look like anyone is keeping it up. Disappointing that they advertise mini golf course but no clubs or balls are available so no one in any party could play.

We did not get 2 twin beds as stated, only a couch No coffee pot as advertised Noisy!!!! Dishes were filthy Bedding was filthy and subpar

The stay here was less than enjoyable. The huge party that was going on outside was very disrespectful and had zero regard for other guests. It made it very hard to enjoy the outside amenities that the property had to offer. Thankfully we spent most of the day at the beach. They blared loud music from a giant speaker until after 1am. Tejano and rap music with profanity was the genre of choice, which was extremely inappropriate with all of the small children around. Regardless of what type of music was playing… they clearly had no respect for abiding by the 10pm quiet time rules or even 11 or 12. I also witnessed this party in a confrontation with more than one of the other guests. With no on-site management to enforce rules I feel this property will continue to get less than stellar reviews. Also, my check in was 2 hours later than anticipated which would have been fine but I would not have arrived so early. I was told I could check in at 2 and did t receive check instructions until 4:15.
