Started off not getting the access code from the host. After arrival called went straight to voicemail, waited 10 minutes and we then get a call with the code but then only to be told the place wasn’t yet clean. Said “the cleaning crew” was 30 minutes away, an hour later there wasn’t a cleaning crew but the host themselves. Keep in mind this is 8pm, Sat around for 45 minutes for them to clean the place. 3rd issue go to bed and the bed frame was broken. Ended up having to sleep on the floor in the small living room. We messaged them at the time it happened with no response. Contacted them again in the morning with no response. Vrbo and the Vrbo supervisor both called host with no response. It wasn’t until late in the afternoon they responded and said they’d come fix the bed, by then Vrbo graciously enough booked us a room at a nearby hotel. I went and read reviews and it appears this is an issue with this place numerous people complained how the place wasn’t ready at arrival and other people complained about the brown bed frame. When you pay for a cleaning fee and more than a hotel you expect the place to be in a lot better condition than this. Would at least expect to get a refund for the last night we didn’t stay and the cleaning charge. Really put a big damper on our trip.
