Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

From the door not locking correctly to the hot tub never heating entirely, I cannot recommend. Interior was ok, but yard was unkempt, and more importantly, NOT pet-friendly: fence had gaps and hard to spot missing planks, such that the nextdoor neighbor rang the doorbell at one point to return our dog. She said the owners were aware of the fencing issues but chose not to fix and instead continue to advertise a "fenced yard." The lawn is also full of painful burrs and oleander bushes, which are poisonous to dogs... Day 3, the AC stopped working. We slept in the hot house and reported on waking when we realized the house hadn't cooled overnight. Vacated for the day so repairs could be made and crated the dogs, making all of this known to the prop mgr, yet nothing was fixed until late afternoon. I inquired about a credit for this and was told I wasn't entitled to one because the issue was fixed "promptly." Worst was the day 2 strangers entered the locked premises and walked through the house (bedroom) and into the backyard where they found us in the hot (warm) tub. Evidently the property owner is selling the house but failed to tell the realtor. Wildly violative and alarming for two single women. Prop mgr apologized and said it wouldn't happen again. The next day? Another maintenance worker entered the yard without notice.I expressed our dissatisfaction and requested a discount on the charges and was denied. I asked to be put in contact with a supervisor and was ignored.

Our favorite place to stay in Galveston.

Perfect for our little family, we have made this bungalow our annual beach house permanent rental! Always clean. Hot tub. Close proximity to the beach. Management company very responsive.

Just Ok

I booked this house because it had a hot tub and knew the weather would be colder. The hot tub was not turned on when arriving at the house so it took 30 hours for it to heat up from 71 to 100 degrees. Never got above 100. So we were only able to use it for our last night which was disappointing. Also the sofa doesn’t have a mattress or blankets so it was quite uncomfortable. No way 2 adults could fit on it. House was very clean except for the hot tub. Outside area was great.

Liars!

To summarize, the hot tub doesn’t work, the stove smoked when we used it so we had to turn it off, the house was DIRTY when we checked in, the blinds were broken, and the ring doorbell camera is pointed at the hot tub (which would be more problematic if it worked). I was told by Vacasa that I would get a partial refund of $200, but now they are ghosting me and no refund has been credited. Renter beware!!!

Okay but room for improvement

The house was very cute, well decorated and very clean. I honestly believe a few minor fixes would make this a place I’d stay again! It’s in a somewhat rough location but that’s the majority of the area. I didnt necessarily feel unsafe, however there was no window covering on the front door so anyone on the street could see straight in - and with the houses packed so tightly together i felt watched. And on the back door it’s so sheer that the light from one of the neighbors storage units shines straight on to the bed. It left me with a migraine after the first night and kept me up tossing and turning the entire trip. It’s also a fairly loud neighborhood so noise cancelling and light blocking window coverings would do wonders for this place. As far as feeling watched the hot tub is directly in front of the back door ring camera. I covered It while i was out there because it made me feel uncomfortable. I understand for the property owners why it’s there obviously but something to note as it’s awkwardly close. Checkout instructions weren’t clear - i feel They should have texted them as they texted other notices. So many that i didnt check the last one that had you click to officially check out. While i was gone by 9 i didnt check that text until 11. I didnt know where to put the trash and didn’t see instructions for it (maybe they’re there but i didnt see them). Don’t bet on the washer / dryer working fast at all. I chose the quick cycle and it was 3 hours long to wash. 4 hours to dry. I found out on the last day there was another shorter setting but I assumed “quick” would’ve been the shortest one. Instructions here would be nice. Also should you use it plan to leave as it’s incredibly loud and shakes the entire house - still nice that it’s available! The back yard isn’t entirely dog friendly as there is a large gap at the back of the fence that small dogs could easily fit through. This is really only dog friendly for larger dogs. The final issue is the largest one for me and it’s that there is only a keurig machine (or as I call it dirty water machine). In my opinion, if you’re going to provide an obscure coffee machine you should also provide a few pods for the guests but honestly i think purchasing even a cheap coffee maker would be helpful. I know if my mother had rented a home like this she would look at the machine like it was a space ship. Having to wake up and go fetch coffee is not ideal for what is meant to be a relaxing vacation.

Not as advertised

So on arrival we noticed things weren’t as clean as they should be, parking barely fits one car. You can see right through the entire home due to only having indoor/ out door blinds.. the hot tub was completely disgusting and green. Smelled like mildew and wasn’t even plugged in. Communication with staff trying to get someone out was ridiculous and took 18 hrs for someone to show up un announced . I drained and cleaned the hot tub myself. But it never even heated up fast enough for us to use. Neighbors window stay open and have zero privacy including that owner has a ring camera on the back door looking right at the hot tub. Wouldn’t book this house ever again. Absolute Waste of money.
