Hello Anonymous. Thank you for staying with us and for taking time to post a review. I am sorry that you did not sleep well due to the heat. I wish I knew which cottage you were in. In these times of social distancing, it is common that guests check themselves in and leave without contact. I suppose the best we could have done is supplied you with an adequate number of fans to move air, and with extra screens if you needed them. We usually put only two or three screens in a cottage depending on which cottage it is. (I sleep with windows open but with no screens on the warm evenings to maximize air flow, although really warm nights are not overly common on this island.) We are readily contactable by phone and text and encourage guests to contact us with any questions or concerns. We try to respond to the needs of our guests quickly, but if we don't receive a request during the stay, there is not much that can be done after the fact. And I am sorry about that. Lastly to respond to your observation that there is no one in the kiosk office, that is usually the case. I do however live on the property, and Paul and Heather live just down the street. Hi Mari: It was a pleasure to host you, your husband and your adorable little girl! Cottage #3 is the only cottage with that "doorless" idiosyncrasy and I am sorry to hear it caused challenges. That cottage is a favourite with couples travelling without kids, so I am very glad to get this input. I wish you had said something so that we could have moved you to a larger cottage with more separation. When you return, I suggest the #8 Georgia Queen Suite which has 1 separate bedroom and is quite a bit larger, or one of our 2 bedroom cottages. Thank you again for staying at Driftwood Village!

Hi Terry I was looking to see if you had made a studio reservation but could not find any for the "extra" studio (that we do not advertise with Expedia. All the cottages here are "custom" and only the Lilac has a small, low ceiling. Could you let me know when your reservation was made? We typically replace appliances on a regular basis. I would like to know more.

Hi Glen. Sorry your experience here was not good. I must say though any of these things could have been easily rectifiable if we had been made aware. The hot water has never been a problem before or since, but it needs to run a bit before getting up to temperature. As to the coffee, we would have gladly brought you some if you had asked..right to your door. And yes, I do not hang out in the kiosk office, but I, or someone else is usually available either by phone or in person to assist with questions or requests. We are not a hotel. We are housekeeping cottages. Clearly not what you were looking for. Sorry.
