"Just needed a place to stay 1 night in our drive home to Illinois from Hilton Head, SC. Chose this place because of the good reviews and of course it was on our way. We were hungry when we arrived & saw a decent looking restaurant right next to the hotel. Win win! It had great food, and nicely decorated sports style restaurant! (I forget the name of it) "

"This motel was very clean. Fresh vases of flowers in several locations filled the areas with lovely scents. The breakfast was good, varied and hot. I am the only one who complained about their bed, but the pillows were great. The was no hall/other room noise, but it must be close to a fire station, as we heard many emergency vehicles on the street. I would definitely stay here again."

Once upon a time…
"I Think Galt is an OK Old-timers hotel. Nothing special and here is the issue - they believe they are special - but at Best impossible Big with to many facilities or at worst out sourced francises with no quality control. I bought myself breakfast at Walkers Exchange - great coffee, rest delivered back at a full 26 dollar charge - leaving a huge hotel in an empty stomach of course doesn’t improve your already so-so experience - so ok hotel - ok surrounding, but not worth the price and zero internal quality control in my mind. Will I be back - NO!"
