"Pleasant Staff, simple book in. Let down by tiny tv & silly early book out time of 10.30am. Charged an extra £25 to book out at 12 having already paid £493 for 3 nights. Breakfast let down by poor ingredients - cheap tasteless sausage."

"Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though."

"Nice location and staff. Food was on schedule and good. Comfortable bed and rooms. Parking was limited, but that’s an issue all over UK. We would stay there again."

"Lovely hotel / pub in a very scenic location. Beautiful views. We had 2 cottages for our extended family group of 7 adults/ 4 children. Spent the afternoon enjoying the patio drinks and watching the water flow. Had a delicious Sunday dinner in the lovely upper dining room. Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed . Would definitely stay again ."

"Overall a lovely stay. Our room was large, clean & comfortable with a balcony overlooking the front garden area. Good to have a fridge in the hot weather. We also appreciated the USB ports & other amenities. Comfortable armchairs & a comfotable bed, although the bedding was a little excessive for the hot weather - easy to remove the top layer though. The lovely bathroom was also a good size with a seperate bath & shower. Our only frustration was the early morning traffic noise - we had to open...

"Arrival was easy, nobody manning reception but was not a problem, key left on the side clearly labelled and clear instructions etc. Room clean and well presented, good amenities, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc. Room not perfectly blackout with some streetlight coming in round the side of the curtains, and a faint green light from the fire exit sign, not something that bothers me as I sleep with my eyes closed, but some day dreamers might want a blindfold. Bed was clean, very comfortable...

"Excellent accommodation, lovely food and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Only one thing that I would change is the shower ‘curtain’. It was very clean but I still don’t like them especially when they blow against you."

"Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return."

"Incredible stay at The Saddle Rooms. Easy check in with very helpful staff. Treated to a lovely twin room named 'The Pretender ' (all rooms named after famous racehorses) with my son. Attention to detail wonderful. Amazing large bathroom with true waterfall shower. Comfortable beds and air conditioning/systems that actually worked. We had dinner which was worth every penny. Breakfast was delicious and wonderful too. Gorgeous setting - stone built properties. Courtyard. Grounds...
