  • Truly a nature immersion. Rustic but cozy mountain cabin retreat nestled in the middle of 33 acres of pristine forest. Enjoy fishing in the two stocked ponds and relax in the tranquility of the Blue Ridge. An excellent wilderness Glamping experience! Amenities include internet, 2 fishing ponds, fresh spring water, 2 bedrooms (1 full size bed and 2 twins), 1 full bath, kitchenette with refrigerator. A charcoal grill and fire pit are included for a perfect cook out. Enjoy exploring the nature trails by day and star gazing at night. Local attractions include hiking in the Shenandoah National Park, canoeing on the New River, wine tasting , antique exploring and live Blue Grass music in the town of Floyd.

A fantastic weekend that couldn't have been better. Cabin was clean, linens were quality and the entire kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Remarkably good catch and release fishing in the two ponds and the stars at night were absolutely phenomenal!This cabin is definitely on the "return to" list.

I love the remote and quiet atmosphere of Buffalo Hollow Cabin. The numerous hiking trails are inviting and I will have to come back when I can explore them. My little dog loved running around in the grassy lawn.

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful time and it was the perfect getaway for our 41st Anniversary. The cabin is secluded and sits back off a gravel road. We enjoyed sitting next to the fire pit listening to nature and looking at the bright stars. The cabin is peaceful and very relaxing.

If you are looking for a quiet place to hang out, then this is the place! A rustic log cabin and plenty of acreage provides a sense of peace that is hard to beat! Even in cool rainy weather it is warm cozy and inviting.

The best quiet getaway

What an amazing stay! This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this property. It’s the perfect getaway for ourselves and our two dogs from the big city life. You get all the seclusion you would like with all the modern amenities you need! We look forward to going back.

We loved are stay here over the Easter weekend. We wanted to be our granddaughters who are attending Virginia Tech. The cabin was a little further from VT than expected but we had a great time. We had our dog and their dog!The cabin is rustic but that is what you expect from a cabin in the woods!The girls fished and caught several fish and released them back into the pond. There are several hiking trails.There isn't a working stove but there is a hot plate, toaster oven and microwave. We cooked steaks on the girl one night and Easter day we brought Chinese Food back after church.All-in-all it was a great weekend.

Cozy & Peaceful

The property was in a great location. It was peaceful it was quiet it was beautiful. The cool crisp air is a pleasant change of the hustle and bustle of a city. Definitely the kind of place you want to come to and wind down and forget about the world.

It was perfect!

Perfect secluded location. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. We just brought food. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back year after year.

Exhale!

If you looking for a private in the woods destination, this is your place. Town of Floyd is close by with cute shops, artwork, and live music. The cabin is cozy and has everything you need. Hiking, fishing, firepit with plenty of wood to spare. It's a romantic, spiritual, exhale location for anyone who loves the woods and if this is your first time, this is the place to try.

A book lovers dream!

I had a ball, so did my brother’s dog. The great grandma’s were not quite as impressed. I think how tucked away in the woods gave them pause. Very relaxing. I would definitely stay again on my own!

Beautiful Forest Cabin Getaway

What an incredible stay. Beautiful cabin tucked away in the woods. Had so much fun fishing and hiking. This is pretty wheelchair accessible too on the first floor, plenty of space to roll around. We loved the stars and sky at night. We can’t wait to return. Owner was great with communication as well and so so kind. Thank you!

Peaceful

Loved it the minute we walked in. So thoughtfully appointed with cabin coziness and decorated so tastefully. Milda was very responsive and helpful. Its off the beaten path but thats what we were looking for. Did alot of walking and some fishing. Really hope to return in the fall. Thanks Milda!

Cabin by the Ponds

Very quiet & secluded location. Google maps took us to the precise location. Be prepared to drive down a lots of gravel roads, which is part of the attraction. The cabin is a quaint, rustic place that is very comfortable for a couple for several days. Decor is appropriate to a cabin. The location is about 35 minutes to Christiansburg, 40 minutes to Blacksburg, and about 20 minutes to downtown Floyd. Floyd is a gem of a town - a great surprise with restaurants and shops and friendly people. Really enjoyed out stay altogether.

Great getaway

The property is secluded. Your neighbors are the abundant wildlife. The cabin is nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. I was looking to escape the heat and humidity of August in NC (Raleigh area) and wasn’t disappointed. I’ll remember the flannel shirt mornings with coffee on the front porch. I never met our host, Milda, but communication was excellent. Checking in and out was a breeze. Hope to go back next summer.

VT Weekend Reunion

Nice setup for getting away from it all in the woods. Decorations were too cluttered for us. A/C great on first floor upstairs single beds a bit warm but comfortable with provided fans. No counter space in kitchen. Nice fire pit and charcoal grill.

This is a beautiful cabin, as advertised, gorgeous area, total and complete seclusion, yet close enough to anything you need. My fiancée and I stayed there for a long holiday weekend, and took in the Aurigid meteor shower, with a front row seat that you literally have to see to believe. I have seen multiple meteor showers in my life, but absolutely nothing compares to the vantage point of this cabin. Hikes, nature, roaring fires every night, romance, it is absolute paradise. The worst part is having to leave. We cannot recommennd this highly enough for any looking to unplug, recharge, and reconnect. We will be back.

Heaven on Earth

This place is special. The cabin is tucked at the end of a long, forested, rhododendron lined drive that runs along a stream. After passing a photogenic old barn, you are greeted with the most charming log cabin, tucked just beyond the two ponds. There is no noise pollution - instead, you'll be enchanted by birdsong and a nightly chorus of frogs. It was exactly what we needed. Milda is so very kind, with prompt communication and a generous heart. Thank you for everything. Additional thanks to Brandey for prepping the cabin to make it feel so welcoming.
