It is relatively cheap for a hotel close to the heart of Florence. There is about a 20-25 min walk to "Il Duomo" (Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore). The receptionist did not speak english very well, and the room I stayed in was surprisingly dark. In the room there was put a shower cabin and a sink in the same room as the bed, and the shared toilet was up the hallway. A good surprise was the size of the room, when I booked the room it said only 8 m2, but it seemed almost twice as big. One of the biggest downfalls, was the fact that they have a doorbell you have to ring if you want to get in after 20-21, and you could here it even though I was in the very last room. You could also clearly here the noise from the hallway. The breakfast was fine, nothing special. But overall the quality of the hotel was fine, the staff was friendly and it seemed clean enough. It was fine for single overnight stay as I did, but if you want to spend a lot of time in Florence, I would recommend paying a bit more, to get that extra service and comfort. Cheers.
