"There is no double glazing so bedrooms can be noisy at night if you are not used to traffic"

"Mum and I had a lovely one night stay at St Joseph’s by the Sea. It was quiet and felt secure, part of a spiritual retreat centre with an adjoining convent. Cleanliness and comfortable beds were perfect, and access worked well for my 94-year-old mum, with a wheelchair available too. It is an easy 10-15 walk to main shopping area of Williamstown and less than 1 minute to the waters edge. There was plenty of on street parking available when we stayed. We had a twin room which was roomy, with desk...

"Nice location. Walking distance to all you need. "

"Really really really nice hotel & vibe … all good "

"A hidden gem tucked away in an unexpected corner of South Melbourne. From the moment you enter the lobby, you’re transported into an elegant, thoughtfully designed retreat from the bustle of the city. Our room was spacious and beautifully considered, with luxurious amenities that made the stay feel special. We particularly looked forward to the pool, sauna and steam room, but sadly these spaces didn’t reflect the care evident elsewhere. The sauna floor was covered in hair, the steam room had...

"I had a good stay. It is only a short drive from city centre. Friendly and helpful staff. "

"Lidt slidt hotel. Ok beliggenhed. Værelset dejligt - vi havde to værelser til 3 mennesker, hvilket er perfekt. Desværre kunne man ikke få frisk luft - da vinduerne ikke kunne åbnes. Blev ikke informeret ved check ind, at man kun kunne bestille 1 kaffe eller 1 juice til morgenmaden. I al fairness skal det nævnes, at vi lavet en aftale. God bar!"

"There was rubbish on our balcony and the shower had hair in it from the previous persons. Otherwise it was really good to stay for what we needed and the view from the balcony was great."

"Clean and spacious room"

"Second stay at Oakwood, staff were kind & room was also very clean as always. Will mostly stay again !"

"Perfect location. Trams are just a short walk and Restaurants, Cafes and groceries near by."

"Very pleased with my stay. Close to trams to get to the city quickly (50m). Close to shopping market and super market (200m). Close to go for a walk along the habour (50m). Very forthcoming reception. Only downside is I missed a real armchair for resting in the evening. Not just a normal chair. And even if you close the shower door, you get a lot of water on the floor outside. I would happily stay here again"
