Cannon Lake Getaway with Outdoor Kitchen, Private Beach, Game Room & Bunk Room

Will you start with a kayak paddle, a cast from the dock, or an afternoon in the hammock? At our Cannon Lake retreat, the best part of your day might be deciding what to do first.

This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom getaway has 125 feet of private lakeshore, a big yard, inviting places to gather indoors and out, and a garage game room ready for a little competition.

Your days on the lake:

Take out the paddleboard or one of two kayaks, fish from the dock, or head for the floating raft offshore—a favorite with kids. Guests may use the dock, and a pontoon boat is available for an additional fee.

Back on land, stretch out on the covered deck’s comfortable furniture or claim the hammock for a nap. The lakeside outdoor kitchen has a gas-fired grill, cooktop, and refrigerator, so you can make dinner beside the water. As the evening winds down, gather around the outdoor fire pit.

Room to cook, eat, and unwind:

The pretty main cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and complete sets of cookware, dishes, and serving pieces. There’s plenty of room to share meals and spend time together, whether you choose to eat inside or out. Laundry facilities make longer stays easier.

Two bedrooms in the main cabin each have a king-size bed and TV. The spacious loft includes a bunk room with a queen bed and two separate twin bunk beds. The main cabin has central air conditioning and an air purification system; the loft has its own mini-split air conditioner.

A game room worth staying in for:

Head to the garage for air hockey, foosball, shuffle puck, Pop-A-Shot basketball, and the hockey tarp shooter. There’s also a flat-screen TV and plenty of space to hang out when it’s time for a break from the lake.

Explore Faribault:

The nearby Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail is a great outing for biking or walking. Sakatah Lake State Park, Shattuck-St. Mary’s hockey, and the restaurants and shops of historic downtown Faribault give you more reasons to make a trip of it.
