In just twenty minutes you can be in Wells-next-the-Sea, watching the pretty little boats bob on the tide, while quayside or enjoying the wide, sandy beach while taking in the colourfully decorated beach huts. Head to the creeks and harbours of the Burnhams, the marshes of Stiffkey, or a little further east, explore the pier at Cromer, where you can grab a coffee and undertake a spot of people-watching. History buffs will rejoice with the Holkham, Blickling, Houghton, and Sandringham Estates, along with the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn, Norwich Castle Castle Acre, and Castle Rising all within easy reach. Nature lovers will be delighted to find riverside walks almost from the doorstep, along with Pensthorpe Nature Reserve which is just a few minutes away. Sports lovers should know that this area has some amazing golf courses too, including cliff-top ones with absolutely stunning views and nearby Fakenham has a racecourse so if you fancy a day at the races and a bit of a flutter, you’ll be well catered for too.
