The house was completely as advertised.

My family and I enjoyed this house so much! It was clean, well stocked, and the hosts even had a nice welcome basket for our arrival. The day we arrived there was tons of snow, but the driveway and walkways were perfect! I give this place five stars!

Beautiful home!!!

I was so amazed at the gorgeous views all around. It was breath taking. The home had all the amenities it described and our family had an amazing time. The home is located I believe around 11k ft, and let me tell you, it was hard to breath, so take some oxygen with you. I definitely recommend this home and I would come back to visit again. Thank you!

This home is absolutely beautiful!! We cannot say enough good things about it. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. The welcome basket was a nice surprise. This was a family vacation with 13 of us. We had plenty of space and things to do for all of us. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the kids enjoyed the game room. I will recommend that you take oxygen with you as it is at a high altitude. I highly recommend staying here. Thank You for letting us stay at your home.

Better than Great Wolf Lodge!

This amazing place has everything you could need and then some. The view from both stories is absolutely stunning and exactly what I dream of when I'm in the area. I'm not sure the normal moose count, but we had four sightings in the beautiful neighborhood. The four true bedrooms plus bunk room that sleeps four meant that everyone in our group could be comfortable. All the bathrooms were attached and easy for guests to use. We didn't need the loft beds, but many remarked on how comfy that spot looked as well. You will find many listings with bed arrangements that aren't ideal, but this home is a dream come true. Now that you know you can be comfy at night, the next best thing is how well the home is stocked. The kitchen has spices and equipment galore so you can cook and never have to leave the home. I can't think of a single thing I forgot that they didn't provide.We needed to book another week in order to enjoy everything the house and game room offered, but know that this is definitely a one of a kind family retreat. Grab it if you can!If you are trying to decide on the area to visit, this is our favorite in Colorado. Alma and Fairplay are wonderful small towns to explore with dramatic mountains. Breckenridge and even Buena Vista are easy drives if you want larger towns or to go white water rafting. There is a great mountain hike just down the road from the house and of course a ton of others like Hoosier Pass. There is fabulous fishing, the Montgomery reservoir/waterfall and spectacular 4x4 drives to Kite Lake, Windy Ridge, Mosquito Pass, etc (get info in Fairplay) You can't go wrong in this area or with this beautiful property.

Everything we needed!!

This cabin is absolutely amazing!! It truly has everything you could possibly need! We were so impressed by how well stocked everything was. We loved the beautifully decorated interior, the cleanliness, and how organized everything was . Very cozy! My advice is to listen to the owner and make sure you have winter tires and 4 wheel drive. The drive up there and the driveway is very steep and very slick. Regular wheels won’t make it. Drink plenty of water and load up on carbs. The elevation sickness is REAL. I’m the only one in my party who wasn’t miserably sick for two days.

This is the most breath taking rental. Everything u need and more!

Totally speechless. This hone has it all. No need to leave cause it's there! Beautiful/ Breath-taking inside/out! Fun for all age groups. And did I mention the view.. what a blessing to be able to witness it. Tony was amazing made everything smooth/easy. He really has something to be proud about with this family home. Thank you Tony for sharing it/giving my family the best getaway. My family will definitely be returning.

Stunning View!!!

This home has everything and more! Potentially more supplies than at my own house! It is rare to see a rental home fully equipped like this but we're we so thankful that it was. It's a very spacious home that slept 12 of us. The owner Tony was very detailed in all of his instructions which helped out a ton getting there. I would recommend staying here in a heart beat! Amazing views, cozy vibes, and a perfect place to spend a weekend in the mts!!!

Cleanest and best stocked house!

We rent vacation homes once or twice a year and this was the cleanest house we have every stayed in.... and I am PICKY! Everything was thought of at this house! We had everything that we could possibly need. It was also very well organized and neat. It is a beautiful home and fit our "cabin in the mountains" want perfectly! We had 11 people (3 couples, 1 single adult and 4 kids) and their was plenty of room for all of us and everyone had their our own space. The owner was very good at communicating and was available right away when we had a room that the lights were not working (a breaker flipped) this was fixed immediately and never happened again. The game room is very nice and has lots for the kids to do. This house is appointed with nice things, it is not done cheaply. It is the best house we have every stayed at! Thank you, Tony, for being such and excellent host. We truly enjoyed it!

Unbelievable Cabin - Something for everyone

This home is unbelievable. The hosts have thoughtfully provided everything you need to enjoy a family trip in the mountains without leaving the property. So many thoughtful touches and amenities. Spaces for kids to play and sled outside, games, billiards, hot tub and a well furnished kitchen. I can’t say enough about how much the hosts anticipated everything you’ll need during your stay. Great instructions and guides to help you easily get acquainted with the property and exit easily. Beautiful art, and spaces to read/relax. Incredible views from every room. Absolutely a once in a lifetime experience for our family.

Fantastic Home - Everything you need!

This home was fantastic - we had 10 guests who all had their own beds, access to all the "little things" you need in the kitchen, baths, bar, game room, etc. Only thing we needed was some altitude sickness meds (canned air and medication) for a couple of us who travelled directly from sea level parts of the country... 11,000+ feet is real, but the views make it worth it. Enjoy this place - worth every dollar!!! Oh, and lock your cars at night as their neighbors (bears) may open them up to take a look inside!

We spent a week with our family at Dances with Bears and could not have been more pleased. The property was spotless, extraordinarily well stocked, a fantastic view. Roomy and perfect for our 3 generation family. Close to activities and we rode horses, ziplined, hiked and river rafted.

My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend away and stay at this house. Everything was clean and well organized and up to date. There were so many little touches that I rarely see at other rental properties that made our stay even better! It seems as though the owners and property managers had thought of everything so we didn't have to reach out with any questions or request missing amenities that we expected to have. In fact, we brought several things that we didn't need because the house was fully stocked! I definitely recommend this rental and would stay here again.

Mountain House Get- Away

My family stayed up at this Fairplay Mountain House. The property owner was very communicative and sent us all the details prior to arrival. The drive up to the property was on a mountain road, and so we decided to bring our SUV's and Trucks to get there easily. I would recommend a larger vehicle with all wheel drive to get up to the property. The house has stunnning views from the deck, and there are private decks on each main room as well which is just lovely. The house is very organized. Our family especially loved dining on the deck, using the hot tub, and laughing around the fire pit. We made great memories, and will certainly plan on staying in this house again! We took the children to the logal historical museum and crystal shop in town and they LOVED the experience of the old mining town of Fairplay. The Distillery was also a great bonus in town...and we went to the little shops and restaurants as well.

Family getaway

This place is amazing, everything you could possibly want or need. From a 4mon baby, teenagers, 20 somethings, to the adults 46-77. The owners of the house went above and beyond to make our stay feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely need to get supplies before you go up, gravel road adds to the getaway but the ruts/holes in the road will make you rethink trips to town. The view is spectacular, from every room, night to day. We highly recommend this place!!
