Welcome to Sky Lodge. This professionally designed A-Frame is located just 9 minutes from historic Fairplay and features a hot tub, fire pit, stargazing net, movie room, outdoor seating, 2 indoor woodburning stoves and breathtaking views. The Sky Lodge has everything you need for a trip with friends, a romantic getaway, or a family trip.

Morning slow start: Begin the day with a relaxed morning - kids play games while the parents enjoy coffee and ease into the day on the deck.

Afternoon Unwind: Relax inside with music from the record player, poke around the shops in Fairplay or buy pastries for tomorrow’s breakfast.

Evening Cozy Time: Watch a movie and enjoy fresh popcorn together in the movie room, perfect for winding down after a full day.

Night Magic: End the evening in the hot tub, then gather around the fire pit or nestle in the stargazing net for a cozy night under the stars.

The Space:
Welcome to the Sky Lodge - named for its breathtaking views! This cabin has been professionally designed, remodeled and is the perfect getaway. Enjoy the cabin’s extensive amenities including a hot tub, fire pit, star gazing net, outdoor deck, custom sandstone porch, cornhole, horseshoes, BBQ, telescope, a movie room (with a large screen and giant projector) and a popcorn machine. We even included binoculars so you can watch the herds of elk walk by in the valley below. The area features incredible fly fishing, horseback riding and hiking.

We supply all your basic cooking needs such as pots and pans, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, glassware, plates, basic spices and salt/pepper.

WORK SPACE:
We have a dedicated workspace upstairs for you to use if you wish! The house is equipped with Starlink Wifi and can handle video calls and streaming.

OUTDOOR
Our deck is incredible and includes a bbq, sitting area, a dining table and our hot tub.

We also have our lower patio space that includes a fire pit and star gazing net! Lay out under the stars at night or watch the sun rise in the morning.

NEARBY
The cabin is just 45 minutes to Breckenridge, 20 minutes to Alma, and 9 minutes to Fairplay. There is a plethora of options for hiking, fly fishing and gold panning (check out the Fairplay beach), skiing and horseback riding. We provide all our guests with a guide that includes our recommendations for local restaurants, tours and things to do.

CONVENIENCE
- High-speed Starlink internet.
- Laundry room with full size washer and dryer. Laundry detergent available for use.
- Fully stocked with towels, hand soap, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, TP, paper towels, spices, etc.!


ACTIVITIES:
All guests receive a guidebook for their stay, featuring curated personal and local recommendations for all ages. From regional events and hiking to horseback riding, ATVing, skiing, sledding, fishing, water sports, and dining—it’s your go-to resource for making the most of your time in the mountains.

GUEST ACCESS:
- Electronic keypad which controls access to the main door of the house. A new personalized key code is given to every guest that stays at Sky Lodge.

SUV VEHICLES:
4WD SUV vehicles are mandatory for safe access to the property. The roads to the lodge are plowed and maintained, but please be prepared as you will possibly encounter ice and snowpack. Refunds will not be issued for inclement weather; consider travel insurance for coverage.

PETS: Dogs are welcome with prior approval and payment of the pet fee. (Sorry – no cats are allowed.) All dogs must be house-trained. Any dog-related damages will be charged to the guest to help keep Sky Lodge welcoming, clean, and comfortable for future guests.

AC AND SUMMER MONTHS: Important to note that mountain homes in the Fairplay, Colorado area do not have central air conditioning. With the average nightly temperature between 45-55 degrees, Sky Lodge can easily be kept cool by opening windows to let the cool mountain air in and running ceiling fans throughout the home.

ALTITUDE: Sky Lodge sits at an elevation of 10,000+ feet. Please ensure the altitude and weather conditions are suitable for you and your group before booking. There may even be snow on the grounds as early as September and as late as June.

NO SMOKING: For the comfort of all our guests, smoking (cigarettes, vaping, etc.) is not allowed inside or on the property.

SECURITY: For the safety of all our guests, we have a ring camera at the front door overlooking the driveway and a camera on the back of the home overlooking the side of the property where the shed is located.

WATER USAGE: Our home runs on a well system. Because of this, we ask guests to be mindful of their water consumption during their stay. Thoughtful use will help ensure plenty of water is available for everyone throughout your visit.

SEPTIC: Our septic system is only large enough to accommodate 6 people at a time.

GARBAGE: Please be aware that there is no garbage disposal in the kitchen. Please dispose of all waste in trash bags, and secure in trashcans next to the shed.

AMENITY AVAILABILITY: We work hard to ensure all amenities are fully operational for each of our guests stays. However, occasional mechanical or service-related issues can arise. Should this occur, we will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

WiFi: Internet service is provided through Starlink and outages are outside of our control. Therefore, refunds will not be issued for WiFi interruptions. Outages are extremely rare and typically resolved within a few hours. Please notify us immediately if you experience any connectivity issues so we can promptly report and assist in resolving the matter.

Check in/Check out time
Check out is 10 AM, Check in is 4 PM. If you are hoping to check in earlier or check in later, please let us know and we can try and accommodate as best as we can.

Other Things to Note:
Please note we are located higher than 10,000 ft of elevation so if you have any health concerns please advise your doctor before making the trip. If you are flying in, spending a few nights in Denver (at 5,280 ft) often helps a person acclimate to the lower levels of oxygen.

Pets: No more than 2 dogs per reservation (no cats allowed). Dogs must be house-trained and well behaved. There is an additional $50 per pet cleaning fee per reservation. There is a $100 fee for pets that were not registered prior to check-in. An additional fee will be charged to repair/replace any items that are damaged or for any cleaning complications that may arise due to your pets.

Smoking: No smoking/vaping or cigarettes inside or outside

Staircase: The spiral staircase is fun and easy to use however please be careful and hold onto the hand railing

Fires: Wildfires are one of the biggest concerns for us as a community, we have a strict no open fires rule in order to prevent any accidental fires being started. If you use the fire pit please do not put any sticks or flammable materials in or near it that could create embers. Our BBQ is electric. We take this very seriously and appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Parties: We have a no parties rule for the house, the house is designed to sleep up to 6 people. This is a rule with Park County in order to obtain our short-term rental license, and we cannot accommodate anything over 6 people. If it is discovered that more than 6 people are accommodated, we will unfortunately have to impose fines.

Noise Ordinance: We are in a quiet remote area, so out of respect for our neighbors we ask that we limit noise outside from the hours of 10 pm to 8 am, we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.


Colorado State and Park County Rules for STRs:
+No parties.
+Only park in driveway. Sky Lodge provides enough parking for four to five vehicles. Do not park any vehicles on the main access roads.
+No fires or grills that create embers - no charcoal or firewood outside. Please use our gas firepit and electric grill instead!
+No camping or temporary structures on the property.
+No ATVs on the roads - only use them in designated places/trails.
+No shooting firearms or archery on the property.
