We booked this hotel as the last stop on our way home after a long couple of days of travel, with the idea of getting a good sleep before our final leg home. In the evening someone knocked and tried to use a key card to get into our room. We thought someone must just have the wrong room so we ignored it. Later in the night while we were sleeping someone again tried to get in, it woke me up, but I thought maybe I was hearing things from next door and so I just fell back asleep. However, around 11:00 we were startled awake again by someone trying to get into the room and using a keycard AND deadbolt key to try to get into the room! If we hadn't had the extra door guard in place they would have just come right in. Then they called out and asked who was in the room. Apparently it was someone from the hotel saying that our room was supposed to be empty and they wanted to know the name on our reservation. Wow, that was disturbing! Of course we couldn't get back to sleep after that, we called the front desk to make sure everything was okay now and they said it was. It had been them trying earlier as well. Why didn't they try calling us on the phone first instead of just trying to get into the room? They didn't even knock first! Ridiculous. I could not fall asleep after that and had a terrible night, which defeated the entire purpose of the stay.
Aside from that the room was fine and breakfast was okay.
