"We loved everything about the sea garden! The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, it is right on the beach, the flowers and landscaping were uniquely beautiful and very well taken care of. We were safe and comfortable while we stayed our 4 nights in Olon. "

"Very nice place located close to the center, but far enough away to avoid the noise. Rooms and other facilities are excellent and clean. Restaurant is good, only reason for lacking the last star is lazy and slow service by restaurant staff. Likely the best place to stay in montanita."

"The hotel is wonderful with beautiful surroundings and friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are nice and spacious though there is none to little isolation between the rooms and hallway. Their spa and surf lessons is not available on demand/< 1 day booking and their recommendations is worth checking before doing it/booking to ensure you get all the info/details. "Owners were very friendly and helpful. This is a family friendly hostal with no partying, drinking, loud music. Made it easy to sleep. Rooms are basic, no AC, no hot water but private bathroom in our room. Bedroom could use fresh coat of paint but everything was clean. For the price it was a great value. Without a car it is likely further from the beach than easily accessible. We had our own car so it was a short drive. We would definitely recommend this hostal."

"Balsa Surf Camp is like staying with family! It has a wonderful atmosphere, and the location is nice and quiet within a very easy walk to town. For a surfing adventure, everything is at your fingertips and the team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the daily yoga, thank you to the wonderful instructor Darcy Lynch. I will visit Montanita again, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere other than Balsa. "
