    The Space:

    Located on the north shore of Little Glen Lake, adjacent to a national park, and enjoying 100 feet of lake frontage, this spacious six-bedroom home is the perfect hideaway for large families and groups! Outdoor living is key at the Sleeping Fox - guests will enjoy access to a dock with a mooring device, rowboat, kayaks, canoe, and two stand-up paddleboards; an extensive deck with an outdoor dining area and a propane grill for warm-weather barbecues; a firepit; and plenty of outdoor furniture. The main living space is located on the first floor of the home, where the living room, dining area, and kitchen can be found. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to admire breathtaking lake views from the comfort of the living room. This area has been furnished with guests' comfort in mind - find several inviting sofas, a large flatscreen TV, and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. Appointed with modern stainless steel appliances, the full kitchen will have your back when mealtime comes around. Find everything you need to prepare top-quality meals and snacks for the group. The adjoining dining table seats up to six people and you can find two additional chairs at the kitchen island. The main floor hosts three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a designated laundry room. The upper level features three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well plus a loft living area with comfortable sofas and a small TV. THINGS TO KNOW This property is managed by Vacasa Michigan LLC.

Sleeping Fox

The views are wonderful with large windows. There was plenty of room for all nine of us. The deck outside is excellent for eating Al fresco and coffee in the morning. The dock was our favorite place all day.

A delight on Little Glen

Our families gathered from VA. NC. WA and CO for a wonderful family vacation! We have been coming to Glen Lake for 40+ years! We loved the deck( a real favorite)the kitchen is well supplied- the beds are great.The showers are especially nice! We loved this house and all the amenities. We made good use of the dock, fire bowl and paddle boards. We have already booked ahead for next year! Sleeping Fox is a real gem!

Sleeping Fox @ Sleeping Bear Dunes

This is a perfect house for a family vacation in northern Michigan! Plenty of space both inside and outside. Great location right on Little Glen Lake. The lake is shallow off the dock for quite a ways which is great for the kids. The house is close to Glen Arbor and all the shops/ restaurants, and also close to major attractions of Empire Bluffs, Pryamid Point, Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, the Dune Climb, and many Lake Michigan beaches. The property was super clean upon arrival and had all the amenities you need. The pier was very nice and the stand up paddle boards, row boat, and kayaks were a great addition. The fire pit area is awesome, and a great spot make s’mores and hang out. Parking space is also great. I highly recommend this rental property if you are looking to vacation in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. It’s really a perfect spot.

Spacious, clean, beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay at this property. However, the owner needs to invest in a generator. We lost power for a few hours as well as water because of the well water, making it very inconvenient for us. Everyone in the neighborhood seemed to have generator except for this house.

Beautiful home on Little Glen Lake

This fantastic home was perfect for a group of six women on a weekend away. Everyone had their own bedroom and there were large living spaces where we could all gather to play cards, put together a large jigsaw puzzle, watch movies, eat meals and just relax and enjoy the company. We also were able to sit down by the lake and dock and take in all the beauty of this property. It was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The property rental company was great to work with and we were checked in and checked out in just a couple of minutes. We couldn’t have asked for a better location! Our group hopes to return again for our annual trip. We would all highly recommend this home.

Family vacation

Lovely spot, beautiful comfortable home. Some of the basic info needs updating so as not to be confusing/conflicting (strip beds/don’t strip beds? lock box/no code) and better communication with local office when questions arise (electronic lock issues). Otherwise fabulous.

Beautiful spot, house needs TLC.

On the beautiful north shore of Little Glen. A spectacular setting especially for sunsets. For this price however, the house needs a little updating. It smelled musty and a little moldy when we arrived. Airing out the house helped. The kitchen needs new appliances. The refrigerator only has one working light, and the ice maker is broken or not hooked up. Some of the range burners don't ignite so you have to use a lighter. Small stuff but when you're charging top dollar this should be dialed in. Finally, the chimney is badly in need of cleaning. We opened the flue all the way, had a modest fire and the a fair amount of smoke leaked into the house. It smelled for days after. They should tell people the fireplace isn't usable. Can't beat the location though, with a nice fire pit by the lake. Houses on this stretch of the lake are hard to find.

Sleeping Fox stay

Our stay to Sleeping Fox recently was WONDERFUL!!! When traveling, my biggest concern is ALWAYS cleanliness. Things don’t have to be exactly the newest or best of quality (though Sleeping Fox was both of these things too), but the place must be clean. Sleeping Fox surpassed my highest expectations there. Every single room, every surface was neat, tidy, and clean. And that’s saying a lot, as I’m a tad picky in this department. I had absolutely zero complaints about cleanliness. The service of Leelanau Vacation Rentals was great too. Quick check in, equally quick check out, and any emails or phone calls prior to our stay were promptly returned and all questions answered. The staff was friendly and willing to help when needed. The house-what can I say? It was gorgeous! All bedrooms were spacious and nicely decorated, as was the rest of the house. From the moment we arrived, I knew it would be a perfect weeklong rental (we were just there for the weekend) for an up north future vacation. I even joked that even if the weather was rainy and we had to stay inside for the entire week, that we’d all have our space. Large bathrooms, two living areas, a great kitchen, and a really nice outdoor patio with awesome views made this place complete. Last but not least, we even got to enjoy the lake. Little Glen is a clean, quiet lake, and the house had a fire pit right by the water (which we used each night) and kayaks, paddleboards, a canoe and a row boat for guest use (which we did!). All in all, I’m hoping to make Sleeping Fox a place we return to for future vacations. The quality of our stay, from start to finish, was the best of any property I’ve ever rented!
