- The house is located in the hiking area near the top station of the cable car.

- Shopping facilities with a good assortment are offered by the Volg (Mon to Sat 6.30 am to 7 pm, Sun 8 am to 6 pm) in Emmetten, near the valley station
- Arrival by cable car (9 am to 5.30 pm) the area is "almost" car-free.

S O M M E R:
- The price includes two transferable mountain railway tickets with unlimited travel including post bus in the region during your stay, children travel free of charge on the mountain railway when accompanied by an adult.
- A car arrival and departure permit is subject to a fee (as of 2025) and must be applied for 3-4 working days in advance, only possible in summer, access on a narrow, tarmac forest road.
The permit is only valid on the day of arrival and departure. You can either drive to the house, unload your luggage and leave your car at the house free of charge for the rest of your stay or, if you need the car for excursions, park it at the valley station for a fee and drive back to the house at the end of your stay, load your luggage and drive away.
In addition to the mountain railway to the Stockhütte, there is the Waldibahn, which can be operated 24/7 in self-service (mobile phone and Twint or credit card) or token.

- Activities: Family-friendly hiking with several barbecue areas, large playgrounds with trampoline at the Stockhütte and Klewenalp mountain stations, Stockhütte treetop path, Goldifamiliensafari, Foxtrail, geocaches, Stockhütte - Emmetten bikeboard, Stockhütte archery park course, Ergglen Klewenalp climbing garden/climbing route, biking, swimming in Lake Lucerne, e.g. by gondola lift and via ferrata.e.g. by cable car and post bus in Beckenried or in Seelisberger Seeli, canoe and sup hire in Buochs.

W I N T E R:
The family-friendly Klewenalp / Stockhütte area offers perfectly groomed pistes for skiing and snowboarding, the longest toboggan run in Central Switzerland (9km), numerous hiking trails and snowshoe trails in beautiful and secluded places, as well as two magic carpets (conveyor belts) for winter sports beginners of all ages. The fantastic view is a great highlight of every activity!
- Two ski passes can be booked on request, subject to availability.

Emmetten is 25 kilometres from Lucerne and lies on the Beckenried-Seelisberg cantonal road, in an elevated position above the southern shore of Lake Lucerne. From the Emmetten motorway exit (A2), Emmetten can be reached in five minutes by car. You can park your car in the multi-storey car park for a fee and it is easiest to unload your luggage beforehand at the ramp by the gondola station. The gondola lift (only included during your stay in summer) takes you up to the Stockhütte, the house can be reached on foot in 5 minutes from the mountain station (by the shortest route via Alpwiese). For emergencies there is a gondola lift that can be operated 24/7 with tokens or mobile phone and credit card.
