Charming 1-bedroom Garden view apartment in the Redwoods

Welcome to this warm and welcoming apartment in Elk, surrounded by
redwood trees and a lovely southern view of the Greenwood Ridge and Joëlle’s
Garden.
Cuddle up in the living room or unwind on the porch where you will
hear frogs, owls and native birds, or see countless stars that light up the
night.
This home and space were created by two artists and the entire
experience reflects their vision and love for art, nature and the surrounds.
The apartment layout provides a mini foyer, with the living room and kitchen
(with garden views) on one side and the bedroom on the opposite. The
bedroom includes a comfortable and cozy queen size bed, blackout shades and a desk to work (if you must!). Wifi is included.
The living room includes a daybed turned couch.
Original paintings and prints by Joëlle’s late husband Eduardo Smissen adorn the walls to bring his whimsy and color to the creative interior.
The kitchen is well stocked with a table for four, and other amenities to include
a toaster oven, microwave, hot plate, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, etc…
The bathroom offers a shower, luxurious towels, shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer.
All rooms include heating as needed. Parking is dedicated, just next to the apartment.
There are other family members residing on the property as well, but the
apartment has a singular private entrance and is set apart from the other dwellings.

The owner/host Joëlle, lives upstairs from the apartment with her dog Forrest
and two cats and looks very forward to hosting and sharing this private apartment in her lovely home in
the redwoods and beautiful Elk with you.

What to do while visiting?
You will be just minutes from Elk Beach, with a panoramic view of the Pacific
Ocean.
For casual food go to the Elk Store & Deli - well known for their amazing sandwiches - and
walk across the street for a picnic on the beach.
The food game in Elk is next level and feeds any number of hunger
pangs. For fancy, there is Harbor House - our local Michelin Star, and the Elk Cove Inn & Spa. If you’re looking for casual, The Maritime Cafe offers
beautifully made, locally sourced innovative exquisite food in a simple but
welcoming setting.
Or take a cooking class and dine afterwards at the private home of one of the coast’s most notable chefs!

If wine tasting is your thing,
Anderson Valley, renowned for their Pinots and Chardonnay’s home of award-
winning wineries is only 20 minutes away. Dining in Boonville offers many
world class experiences from the legendary Boonville Hotel, their more casual Offspring restaurant, Mosswood Bakery with the world’s best empanadas and more.
You can also enjoy the local brews in Boonville, home of the famous
Anderson Valley Brewing company. Hiking? Head to Hendy Woods, our local
California State Park.
Mendocino is just half an hour away, up the gorgeous Shoreline Highway.
The Botanical Garden await you further North in Fort Bragg as well as the North Coast Brewery.
