"This place is really nice. The surroundings are amazing - you can see both the volcano and the lake, and they have a beautiful garden with a pound, a pool, a spa-area and yoga studio. The morning yoga was really good! And the make really nice food in their kitchen. We thought their activities were a bit to pricy for our taste - but that shouldnt stop anyone from going. Im pretty sure you wont regret it! "

"We got what we wanted. I nice, safe, clean home to accommodate our family in the Arenal area. We were there 3 night and loved the location away from busy La Fortuna. Restaurants right around the house were great, not busy and good food. "

"Property was fantastic, beautiful view and garden and pool. Place was well looked after and clean, hosts were great. Town was friendly with decent places to eat. Butterfly sanctuary is a must. Really enjoyed waking up everymorning to the sounds of birds and view of the volcano"

""Very nice stay in El Castillo. The cottage is very well equipped and offers an incredible view from the terrace. The site is perfect for birdwatching; I observed a wide variety of species. The view of the Arenal Volcano is exceptional. I highly recommend this place for a short stay in the area.""

"This location is fantastic. Check in, communication, check out, everything was as easy as it gets.The Good:The location itself was amazing. The town of El Castillo is, in my opinion a much better choice than La Fortuna. There's almost no traffic, its unique, gorgeous and you get that authentic local feel because there's seemingly few other tourists there. There are no souvenir shops or shops to browse but there are several places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and theres great coffee, views...

"This place is absolutely gorgeous and looks better than the pictures. The very large outdoor deck with a view is amazing. There was torrential rains when I was there, but the house was so cozy. I didn’t mind at all. The adventure boat rental is right at the end of the driveway. Super convenient. This place is perfect for solo travelers or a couple. Enjoy. "
