A lovely stay
Had a lovely time during our stay. It is conveniently located on the Royal Mile with 3 bedrooms which was perfect for our needs. The host communicated very well, and the property was just as described. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Edinburgh.

Convenient to Royal Mile
Property was lovely, easy walk to everything. only issue was not knowing about the spiral staircase and only having one key to the property. It can be an issue if everyone isn't going out at the same time, otherwise very pleased.

Lovely stay in amazing neighborhood!
Old Town is so gorgeous and charming, and this place was a very central, really wonderful homebase for our trip. We adored it! The host was great & very communicative / helpful along the way. Highly recommend!!

Great location and plenty of space
Great location right on the Royal Mile. Clear communication and everything we needed. Quiet bedrooms even though the front of the property faced the street. Only drawback was the tight winding staircase, which was ok for us but may not work for some travelers.

We had a fantastic time during our stay. We were there for work that was linked to the fringe festival. The location was perfect for enjoying all the fringe related festivities, sight seeing such as the castle, witches well etc. Amazing restaurants were short walking distances from the the property. The property itself was clean, super cute and charming. We landed very early and were able to drop our luggage off and were even let in earlier then expect. The communication with the owner was great and exceeded all my expectations; incredibly kind, generous and helpful. If I got to Edinburgh again I would stay here and will recommend it to friends/colleagues.

Fabulous location and adequate space
The apartment was lovely and, while situated overlooking the Royal Mile, the bedrooms were located towards the back of the apartment and allowed for quiet sleep. Plenty of housewares in the kitchen and the beds were comfortable.

Beautiful!
This location is amazing, you look out your window and see the beautiful old town of Edinburg. It’s on the Royal Mile so in the same street if you turn right you can go to Edinburg Castle but if you turn left you can go to the Scottish Parlament and many more. There is a lot of places to eat, grocery stores near by and new town is a short walk away. Great apartment!

Perfect location
Our family had a great stay at this property. We were only in Edinburgh 3 nights so location was important and this certainly hit the mark. No issue with noise even though we were on the Royal Mile. Everyone slept very comfortably

Great apartment that lived up to its presentation on Vrbo! Location couldn’t be any better! Clean and spacious for five adults. Bright rooms for living with lots of sunshine. Would love to go back!

Loved this apartment on the Royal Mile
This was a perfect place to stay while visiting Edinburgh. We could open the windows and look down on the activity along the Royal Mile. The apartment was clean and roomy and had a small washing machine that we made use of. The property manager was helpful and responsive to our questions. This was a great stay in Edinburgh.

Right on the Royal Mile!
Great location for all the sites you want to see in Edinburgh. If you have a car, the Waverly Car Park is only a few blocks away. We easily walked with our luggage from there. The flat entrance may be tricky for some. Be prepared to walk up a narrow spiral staircase, has handrail, that only added to our fun experience there. Clear instructions for access. We felt very safe in the flat. We loved the big windows looking out over the Royal Mile. A popular area for entertainers and musicians to stop and perform, right out the window! The beds were cozy, bedding/pillows comfortable, bathroom toiletries/towels provided were fine, no hairdryer though. The kitchen was equipped with all the basics. We mostly cooked breakfast since there are restaurants to try in every direction you look. A small grocery store is around the corner and an easy walk if you want to grab some eggs, fruit, prepared meals, wine. Quick responses from Shahid too. We’d love to stay here again. The location made for a great Edinburgh experience.

Amazing location
We loved our stay in Edinburgh. The apartment was so centrally located that it was easy to stop by the apartment and leave packages or just rest for a minute. Everything was 5-15 minutes to walk to. My favorite thing was to open the window in the morning and hear the bag pipes or singers. There was always something going on right outside and yet the apartment was quiet and peaceful. I would love to return!

Spectacular Host
Over the years we have stayed in many different properties but the hosts are what really make a difference. Shahid goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable! Regardless of the question Shahid responds promptly and is helpful in every matter. The property itself is clean and the location cannot be beat. Terrific Location
Enjoyable stay at the heart of the Royal Mile. Steep entry stairs might be a bit of a challenge for some. Clean and well appointed, and the host is very accommodating. But the convenience of the location is the biggest draw.

Great Location!
This flat is in a great location if you are visiting Edinburgh! You are right on the Royal Mile close to anything you'd like to do in Edinburgh. The flat is as depicted in the pictures - 3 bedrooms and good size sitting, eating and kitchen area. Flat was clean and all set for us to enjoy a few days there. The owner is very nice and responsive. Just some small very minor things to know: 1. the exact location of the entrance is a little confusing so make sure you get clarity of exactly where to collect the keys and enter the building. 2. the stairs up to the flat are circular and a bit narrow so older folks or people that struggle to climb/navigates stairs should be careful. 3. one of the bedrooms had just had the carpet cleaned - it remained damp during our stay. Again these were minor issues - overall a very enjoyable stay in a location that can't be beat - recommend you stay here!

Great flat on Royal Mile
This apartment was a great place for our family to explore Edinburgh from. Our host was very helpful in letting us store our bags when we arrived. The apartment living room overlooks the Royal Mile, but the bedrooms are at the back away from most of the noise. The narrow spiral stairs were not a problem for us, but may be an issue for some.

Absolutely perfect, can’t recommend this place enough!
Location was perfect. Located right in the heart of Edinburgh, with everything in walking distance. The apartment was huge and such good value for money. 3 big bedrooms, lovely kitchen/dining area. Easy check in process. Contacted host about extra keys whilst there and they responded promptly and helped me out. Honestly, if I was to go to Edinburgh again, I would 100% be looking to stay again. 10/10

Wonderful Family Stay with our 20 year olds
Fabulous property with very thoughtful additions. Just added a brand-new bathroom which was an added bonus. Location is ideal. We had friends staying at the Radison which is a block away, we had them up for a drink and they were amazed at how big the unit was compared to where they were staying. It was really nice to have the space to casually catch up with them. Very clean and warm and welcoming decor. Kitchen stocked with everything you need. The three bedrooms were great - so our son and daughter could have a room to themselves. Beds are very comfortable. Shahid was very accommodating and thoughtful with his communications. He even had the windows cleaned while we were there. He owns the unit across the hall (which we saw) as well which would be ideal for two families or a larger group traveling together as there are two locked doors - one to the two units and then to the units themselves. The spiral steps up are a little tricky with luggage, but very normal for the area. You look down on all the action of the Royal Mile which is fun. A lovely coffee shop outside the front gate. We would all highly recommend this property and any that Shahid owned! :)

This was our second stay at the New Assembly Close and I wouldn't have stayed any where else! Beautiful apartment with all the needed amenities, and very clean. Right on the Royal Mile, we actually felt quite cool and a little smug entering the door to our apartment, right in one of Edinburgh's famous closes! Such a great location; we saw so much of Edinburgh in the short time we were there because of it. Shahid was very responsive and helpful, and that made everything so much nicer. Loved it and already plan to come back!

Exemplary Edinburgh Apartment
I found all the positive reviews to be most accurate. The location is absolutely great on the Royal Mile (easily walkable to most Edinburgh highlights), Shahid was quick and courteous in replying to all correspondence (going above and beyond the call of duty), and the apartment was everything it was advertised to be and more. In all of my years staying in short term rentals the world over, I cannot think of a more pleasant or accommodating experience. Oh, and they had plenty of cups and eating utensils. It's a winner! Great location, helpful host
A great location right in the heart of the Royal mile. The narrow spiral stairs up are quite tricky to negotiate but once inside the apartment is massive! The parking is pay on street parking or nearby multi story so bear in mind if you're travelling by car with luggage or children! We had a lovely stay and Shahid was very helpful!

Exceptional location
Spectacular location - on Royal Mile, accessed via a spiral staircase in one of the historic alleys. Apartment very clean, and spacious for a city location. Maybe slightly less well fitted out and equipped than some (though as at end of year, missing glasses, mugs etc. not too surprising) - but if that is important to you, there are plenty of other apartments at 3x the price. Excellent communication from owner who really seemed to care about their guests.

Best location with everything you need
The host was very easy to deal with and the property was perfect. You will not get a better location and it was very clean and tidy. Nice spacious rooms and very quiet for being in the heart of Edinburgh. Would stay again for sure!

Good communication from owner through out. Property in ideal location and very spacious. Bedrooms delightfully quiet after a busy day sightseeing. Spiral staircase on entry could be a bit difficult for people with mobility issues but would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Great location
We just stayed here for 3 nights, our family of 5 including 3 young children had plenty of room as the apartment is really spacious. The location though is what makes it, you are right in the thick of it all. This meant that once we had done a few hours out & about we never had far to go to get back, ideal with the kids. If we head back to Edinburgh we would stay here again without hesitation, thanks Shahid!

Lovely flat in a fantastic area
Great flat with lots of space and everything needed. Bedrooms at back and so no noise. The best location we have stayed in Edinburgh (we come every year). Spiral staircase could be a challenge for elderly, but my Mum managed (76) it by going very slowly, and it is well lit and has side rails. Would definitely stay again, thank you

Can’t beat the location
Great place to stay because it is right on the Royal Mile. Bedrooms were very quiet since they are in the back part of the apartment. Easy and quick check in using the lock box. Excellent communication with owner. Only difficult part for us was the spiral staircase getting to the apartment. Then do keep in mind my wife and I are in our 70s....

In the heart of tourism
We enjoyed being so central to all the various tourist attractions. The accommodations were wonderful. Although we couldn’t figure out how to use the dryer part of the washer.

Perfect home base for Edinburgh sight-seeing
Nice apartment in an amazing location: - Short walk to and from the train station. - Many restaurants and pubs within a 1-5 minute walk - Easy walk to both ends of the Royal Mile - from Edinburgh castle to Holyrood - Short walk to new town shopping - all of our guided tours had meeting points within a few hundred yards of this location, so it could not have been more convenient - kitchen was well set up for us to cook our own breakfast and save money, and there was a good grocery store 10 minutes away We were very happy with the location, and would definitely return!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Édimbourg. L'appartement est très confortable et idéalement situé.
Location très satisfaisante. L'appartement est spacieux et situé sur Hugh street Royal mile à quelques minutes du château. La rue est très animée maïs les chambres sont à l'arrière et donc très calmes. Nous avons tout fait à pied. Nous avons adoré Édimbourg.
