"Our stay in Magherafelt was lovely in every way. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed. Our hosts, Siobhan and John, were simply wonderful. They greeted us, gave us a tour of the house, explained any thing we may have needed to know and answered all questions we had. They had some local goodies for us to try and a wee milk in the fridge for our mornings. The house was decorated very cute. The front porch had lovely views for us to enjoy our morning coffee. Even with unreliable weather, the balcony is a lovely place to sit looking out at the river and woodland, with a canopy to protect from the rain if necessary! "Loved the location, quiet and lovely grounds. Was quite far from any towns, so if that is important, it might be something to consider. Not enough towels. Tiny kitchen area. All bedrooms and the only bathroom were all up a huge flight of stairs and the beds were very uncomfortable. Very pricey for what was offered. Would get unaffordable quickly if you stayed for very long. But it was a lovely home in a lovely area and very quiet and clean. "

"We chose Magherafelt as it is central and every part of the province is accessible for a day out by car. Off road parking is a bonus. Access to the house was easy using the key safe. The pictures and description on the website were accurate and the house was spotlessly clean. The wifi was very good. It is an easy walk to the town centre where we had a choice of several restaurants. There are supermarkets close by for stocking up provisions. My only quibble was the kitchen and living room...
