We honor and love the Queen of Appalachia so much we named our trolley after her! Inside you'll find Dolly art, sayings, lyrics, photos, books and records. One of the most fun elements of Trolley Parton is the accent lighting. This trolley was retired for a number of years when we fell in love with her and towed her home. We definitely wanted to capture the originality of the old girl but also wanted to make it as functional as a home. You'll find elements of old and new throughout with every detail thought out with intention.
You will love this unique and romantic escape nestled among wildflowers, in the trees, quietly overlooking a manicured rolling pasture. Trolley Parton was created for rest and renewal. For peace and calm. Inside you'll find a Zen Space, a small library, a living area with a bar area, mini fridge, a keurig, k cups and a variety of teas and honey, a record player with classic records of all genres, a sitting tub, queen size bedroom with luxurious bedding and pillows. Outside both doors there is a sprawling 400 square foot deck with relaxing furniture, a solo stove for evening fires, and a smart projector that can be used inside or out. We provide the robes and bath salts. You just have to show up and relax. This property is within 30 minutes of many of Tennessee's finest hikes and waterfalls.
We are also located approximately 7 miles from the city of Sparta as well as Rock Island State Park (opposite direction). Sparta is a great place to do some downtown shopping and antiquing as well as a hub for some delicious food. Rock Island is a fantastic way to spend a few hours or a few days. Excellent hikes and beautiful waterfalls. We also love giving recommendations for food, drink and fun. We are located within 1.5 hours of Nashville, Knoxville AND Chattanooga if you wanted a nice central location for some day trips.

We absolutely loved our lil getaway to Trolley Parton! It was a surprise to my wife so she had no idea where we were staying. As soon as we pulled up she fell in love! She loved it even more as we walked around to the deck and went inside. Everything was clean and well maintained. Plenty of wood available for our nighttime fires. The hosts were very prompt in responding to any questions we had and we even got the chance to meet them, very nice ladies! Would definitely stay at the Trolley again, or even the Tree House, if we ever decide to go searching for waterfalls in that area again!

This is such a fun property! We loved every thoughtful detail and the bed is extremely comfortable. The operational entry doors are so much fun, and so much thought went into every aspect of the trolley! The hosts are so attentive and provide wonderful nearby suggestions. Don't miss out on the pizza place in Sparta...it's amazing! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!!!

This is an absolute 10/10 host and property! They are probably the best hosts we have ever had with VRBO, and the Trolley Parton was truly a one-of-kind experience. The pictures of it are great, but they still don’t do it justice. The hosts were extremely responsive and provided so much helpful information about the area. You can tell that they truly care. We HIGHLY recommend staying in one of their properties if you get the chance.

Amazing, in a great spot! Both hilarious and romantic.

Dude, it's TROLLEY PARTON. How could you not love a spot dedicated to the queen of country? So many things to love. Very peaceful location - private but not TOO private. Even in the humid TN heat, the trolley stayed cool and comfy. It's decorated with whimsy and a bit of romance. My partner put a record on, brought me a cold glass of tea, and I soaked my cares away in the BEST tub. If you like the outdoors, perfectly located amidst bountiful state parks. We made it to Burgess and Falls Creek and highly recommend both, but be prepared to hike for the full experience. Dress to get wet if you wanna swim in the falls. ANYWAY, Rachel and Steph were super helpful in tips, not just in the Doyle area but also around Nashville. LOVE. Vibes immaculate. BOOK THE TROLLEY.

Fun Experience

We were only able to stay for one night before going on the Mammoth March hike at Fall Creek Falls, but it was an awesome experience! I would love to come back and stay for a weekend with nice weather (it was raining)! The trolley was so cozy and the sound of the rain on the roof was nice and relaxing! We would love to come back and enjoy the outdoor amenities they have to offer! The hosts were great and everything was set up with so much care and intention! I would definitely recommend a stay at the Trolley Parton!

This trolley car was a perfectly curated blend of Dolly Parton meets the house from "Charmed". The bed was comfortable, the bathtub excellent, and the ambiance top notch. This is the perfect stay for a getaway and is close to many state parks. I look forward to booking it again in the future.

Great place to stay

We loved the trolley! It was a unique and fun place to stay. Comfortable bed. A few issues. We didn't know where the seat covers were so our outside furniture got wet because it rained. The projector to watch movies had terrible quality but the owner said they would fix for the next guest. They needed to have more splenda and creamer for our 2 night stay for our coffee. Would highly recommend if you like the decorations in the property details. It's worth it.

Such a great getaway

First Solo Getaway!

Booked as a spontaneous solo getaway and could not have been more perfect! The space was the perfect environment for a mental reset and the hosts were super sweet and accommodating! Close enough to hiking spots and some local restaurants if you choose to explore. Also felt extremely safe at the location! I’d love to come back or check out other properties owned by the hosts :)
