"In a word : friction. The concept is self-serve, but the process is just poor. Checkin requires lengthy account creation, pass-port and face scanning, multiple and aggressive reminder emails and texts.
Building access is through complicated codes on worn keypads. There is no front desk reception. No daily cleaning of rooms (and hence no coffee refills etc.).
The building and rooms are nice. Nice gym. But the concept tries to minimise staff costs so much so, that it's just not a good...

"Centrally located hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast was dissapointing because it had a too small selection of breakfast products. The room was good. The bed wss compfortable but there was no sheets on the duvet which is unhygienic "

"An amazing and kind human being who runs the swiss and the barefoot. the room was extremely clean and tidy and the bed was super comfortable. Shower was lovely and whole house was homey and beautiful to stay in. Felt very comfortable, relaxed, well taken care of, and rejuvenated the whole stay. Thank you so much."

"Great location right downtown ottawa and close to the Parliment building as well.
Staff were friendly. Hotel seems slightly dated, the cold water wouldnt get cold. But i loved that there is a bedroom and a living room as well as a kitchen. Theyre renovated from old apartments.
Would definitely go back again and reccommend. "

"Dette er faktisk ikke et hotel med små lejligheder som studerende bor i til dagligt. Om sommeren er de tomme og derfor ledige for turister, hvilket er helt perfekt. "Hotellet" var super og havde en god morgenmad. Værelserne var store og lyse med masser af plads, og her var dejlig rent. I og med at det er en del af Uni, så ligger det også en stykke fra byen. Hvis man vil ind til de gode resturanter tager den 20 min at gå, og hvis man vil ind til centrum ca. 30 min at gå. Bussen stopper dog i også...
