Hotel i Downtown Ellijay, Ellijay

"The bathrooms need to be updated. The room itself is too small. You have to climb into the bed because you’re so high. The tissues was in there by the refrigerator instead of by the bed."

"The water never got hot in the shower and there was a roach on the bedside table."

"Absolutely beautiful location. My wife loved taking pictures of the sunset and sunrise. The entire staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again."

"This property is well positioned around several food options, it’s new but our room was not vacuumed well and the staff were not welcoming at check in and slow to keep breakfast items stocked .. breakfast was mediocre at best .. did like the layout of the room"

"Coffee maker was not working. Ice was not available except for about a half pound."

"The outside looked great, the staff was incredibly nice. The rooms were very dirty and I would say gross. Sheets looked stained, dead roach next to the mini fridge and live roach by the toilet."

"Todo muy limpio y buena atencion"

"I had planned to eat in the dining room, but it had buffets for both dinner and breakfast and we tried it for dinner and the food was not good. So we had to drive 30 minutes for breakfast before a hike which was not planned- so don’t count on the food. Otherwise beautiful location beds were comfy. Also don’t count on a view, depending on the weather it could be completely foggy and you don’t even know there’s mountains."

"Decent choice and value."

"Definitely recommend eating in the Inn's restaurant. Staff were friendly and eager."

"5 stars for all but do keep in mind this is a ranch setting with horses. We stayed in the little barn or tack room(?) It was a unique and wonderful experience. Loved Pam's breakfast of homemade waffles and all the fixings. The ambience and her gifted story telling made for a memorable weekend for me and my two sisters."

"The place was so dirty , mold in the bathroom the bathroom faucet has toilet paper around it to insulate it , brown stuff smeared on walls, toilet paper holder falling out of wall . We left To have breakfast before checkout and the maid had opened up our room and left her little boy in there to watch tv and eat . When I went he pushed me out and slammed the door in ky face . The place smelled like cat urine. Just horrible"

"Dogwood Inn is truly a magical place. From the moment we arrived, Jim and Cindy made us feel genuinely welcome. Cindy’s breakfasts were absolutely outstanding—homemade, delicious, and one of the highlights of our stay. Jim was equally exceptional: incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. You can tell they both genuinely enjoy taking care of their guests. The property is private, absolutely breathtaking, and feels like a dream—a true luxury retreat...
