"Room 135 is above the kitchen, the hotel knows it makes the room vibrate until 21.30, but don't vare about it. I was promised a compensation, but got nothing. They just wanted me in and out as quick as possible. I am not comming back.

"Comfy bed, warm room. Great evening dining choices. Breakfast also good. Staff friendly and helpful. Only negative comment is it would have been good to know in advance that it was a haunted property (most haunted pub in Derbyshire allegedly) rather than finding out on arrival. It freaked me out and I slept poorly. Would have booked elsewhere if I had known. "

Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower, with plenty of hot water. It was also surprisingly quiet, for being in a town, with the occasional call of a pair of tawny owls.
The staff were absolutely great, and very efficiently with their service.
Breakfast was superb, with a menu to suit everyone.
Don't be put off by the hotel not serving evening...

Owners and staff welcoming and friendly, good food, breakfast & evening, good service. Shepherds huts are clean, warm & cosy.
Within good distance for both Chatsworth House & Bakewell also good walks from the inn.

The breakfast had several options, my breakfast wasn’t the best but my boyfriends was better. The car park gets very busy & it can be difficult to park. Would recommend. "
