I really wanted to like this hotel, and it would’ve gotten 3 stars instead of 2 if overall the service hadn’t been so lacking. It took more than a full day and two phone calls to the front desk to have our room attended to during our stay. We had to walk up to housekeeping carts to get towels on two separate occasions, and the pool was out of towels for hours. The mattresses are horribly uncomfortable, totally sink in the middle and make a ton of noise just turning over, and the pillows are super lumpy as well. The food in the restaurant was really good, with an excellent continental breakfast spread, but again, service was very slow. Checkout was also weird. There was no one else at the front desk when I checked out, and the woman said I was all checked out on their end and would get an emailed receipt. Two hours later I still didn’t have an email (and I needed the receipt to split the cost with my friend) and had to call the hotel to ask about it. Turns out they didn’t actually finish my checkout yet, which is why I didn’t have a receipt. The man on the phone completed it while I was on the line, but his excuse that the front desk had probably just been too busy didn’t sit well with me. The only good thing I can say about the service is that everyone was really nice and friendly, but the overall experience seemed like it was just very poorly managed. Such a shame.
