"Amazing - if you are interested in the last few hundred years of U.S. History, I'd put this one on your list of places to visit. Just a great experience. Out of the innumerable artifacts dating back to the end of the 18th century, I particularly was taken back by the original copy of a page from April 15th, 1865 - I didn't have time to see everything. The property's stewards will most likely offer a tour and they are really nice folks. I thought this location was aggressively under priced. "

"The inn was so unique and had such amazing history. Frank was the sweetest and so nice about us coming in later. When we came he showed us around and told us all about Smithville’s history and some of the artifacts there. Can’t wait to come again! "

"I stayed at the hotel due to a flight cancelation. My check-in was smooth and without incident. My only complaint was the soft mattress and bulky pillows. Otherwise, it was abperfect stay. One staff member by the name of Parvin was an absolute delight! She served with grace and style and always had a smile. She was very professional and helpful during mybstay."

"My family and I always have a wonderful time when we stay at Basswood Resort. The staff are all so helpful and kind. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the cabin being covered in ants inside and on the back porch. But that won't stop us from coming back, though. I'll just make sure to bring ant spray next time! "

"My wife and I had a great experience at Ameristay Inn. Check in was fast. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect..cereal, fruit, muffins, juice, milk, and coffee. "Our experience at Ameristay Inn has been great! We needed a place to go qhile we waited for our place to ve ready. Check In was easy and fast. The owner was super friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The parking lot is clean. Parking is right outside your door. They have a breakfast of ceral, fruit, muffins, coffee, milk.. Housekeeping is very accommodating. There are gas stations and food places close. It sits right by the highway so easy access for travelers. It's quiet at night....

"We were greeted promptly and were soon in our room. It was very tastefully decorated. The mattress was so comfortable I think I was asleep the minute my head hit the pillow (which were so soft as well!) and slept a solid 7 hours. Breakfast was scrumptious, many options and the vanilla malt waffles were delicious! All staff were so friendly. Checkout easier than check in, which means it took 2 seconds! The location is right off the interstate and was just a hop and skip to Chiefs camp. Highly...

"The team at Hampton Inn was excellent. They made us feel welcome and helped us with anything we needed. My nephew left his stuffed animal in the room and they got it for us and kept it until we could get back over. They even included a little snack with his stuffie saying it had gotten hungry. The room was clean however the scent they used was pretty strong. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay. "

"We were pleasantly surprised with the size and cleanliness of the inside of the suite. The building is older, so the outside and parking lots looked rough. It was not inside Platte City within any conceniences yoy can walk to, but with a car everythinv is easily reachable. I would stay here again with my family. "
