"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "

"Stedet er ikke en typisk pub, der er koldt og nusset. Beskeden morgenbuffet. "

"Fantastisk sted med skønne omgivelser i fredelige forhold. Flot restaurant med god mad,"

"Rene værelser..som overnatning var det perfekt med de faciliteter der var til rådighed."

"We stayed here for a couple of nights, and cannot fault either the room (we had a dog friendly room) Bed was comfy, bathroom very modern and clean. I can certainly recommend the full English breakfast, possibly one of the best I've ever had, there are lighter options. We also had dinner here on both nights, again the food was great with good range of choices although in my opinion slightly pricey. Staff at breakfast and dinner were smart, attentive and polite. Apart from the intense heat, which...

"Lovely junior garden room with a very nice view! Very cosy and dog friendly! Super food served and the staff especially Jane & Lauren were so lovely and gave super service! Would highly recommend staying or dining here!"

"Dejligt sted! Hyggeligt og med dejligt store værelser. Masser af varmt vand i hanerne og bløde håndklæderne. Morgenmaden er lækker og bliver tilpasset efter dine ønsker. Restauranten havde et fantastisk tilbud med en drink og en hovedret for 10£, og den bøf vi fik var både stor og virkelig lækker! Jeg kan kun anbefale dette hotel, og særligt hvis man leder efter en ægte engelsk oplevelse!"

"Everything was lovely but the food was amazing. I would stay again just for the restaurant."

"Clean Room. Staff Good.Breakfast Good. Bar Good. Food Good."

"Dejlig natur omkring stedet Vakkelvorne havemøbler. Venlig personale"

"Fint sted, gode værelser, venligt personale og rent. Dog ligger det lige ud til en vej. Men hyggelig havemiljø. "

"What a lovely hotel, the room was lovely and breakfast very good. We ate in the restaurant, the food was very good, service a little slow"

"Beautiful setting, Staff friendly and very helpful. Room was charming. Plenty of parking. We had underfloor heating and found the room too hot through the night and bed a little to hard for me. If looking for hairdryer ours was positioned behind the curtain and unable to find it when I needed it."

"Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location."

"Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return."
