"This was our 3rd stay at St John's Lodge and yet again it did not disappoint. Great location, great room (which was upgraded when we arrived, a welcome surprise), great breakfast and amazing service from the Hosts Rich & Ada. Having free access to the Local health club and spa is another fantastic bonus, popping in after a hike to utilise the jacuzzi is great! We couldn't ask for more from St John's Lodge, Rich and Ada are excellent hosts and couldn't do more for us. We hope to return again...

"Firstly, the location was great. The Stork is near the M6 and minutes away from downtown Lancaster, yet you feel like you are in the country. We enjoyed a last minute stay at the Stork and feel as though we had found a hidden gem. If the rooms aren't brand new, they certainly appear so. We also had a gastropub style meal at night and a complimentary full English bteakfast in the morning. Both meals were very good. "Merewood is a beautiful country house hotel. We had a perfect stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel and its grounds are just lovely. We ate in the Arboreal restaurant and, wow, what a treat that was. Really couldn't have been better"

"We had room 6 on ground floor which suited us it was a small double but very cosy and spotless. The tablet had all the info. Though as a digital dinosaur it took mea while to get used to it lovely toiletries and towels and brilliant fresh breakfast lived up to the reviews "

"I had a lovely stay at The Three Shires Inn which is in the lovely, quiet spot in the middle of the countryside. Loved seeing the mountains and sheep. I would highly recommend."
