"It’s exactly what we expected. It’s an old place and you can tell. That’s what gives its charm. We were there for the 4th of July. We got to watch the free concert in the park from our balcony. Everything in the square is walking distance. The only negative I would give, is I wish the back door had blinds. Since it’s next to the street, even with my eyes closed I could see headlights driving by. But I am also a very light sleeper. My husband went right to sleep. "

We loved our stay in this historical hotel, on the city square, making it very convenient to walk for shopping and dining. We enjoy staying at historical locations and this one did not disappoint. After doing more research on the building’s history - I was happy to see that they’ve done their best to keep the historical integrity of the building intact. Inside is beautiful; welcoming and warm, clean and our host kelly was the best. Loved chatting with a few of the guests in the morning over coffee. Beautifully curated antiques fill the common area.
Our room upstairs was just what we needed; nice and cool, super comfortable bed with fabulous sheets that felt luxurious!

They very kindly switched me to a different location so that I could avoid all the up-and-down movement with my knees. This was a great place to visit with dogs. Hiking, sitting by the campfire and resting near the big postcard window were memorable and relaxing ways to pass the time with furry friends. "
