Idyllic getaway
Gorgeous well appointed cabin with secure yard for your pet. Great amenities with efficient heating and piping hot shower. Close walking distance to the centre of town and beautiful walks. Great communication with host. Love this place, hope to visit you again.

Goldfields getaway
Calm welcoming space. The cabin is set on a little slope overlooking a beautiful parkland with a natural lake and walking track and a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. Cabin is very well appointed, clean and cosy. All cooking facilities are there. Lovely fenced area for our pet to explore. Love this place.

Goldfields getaway
Property is in a fantastic location near the heart of Creswick. The cabin was well appointed, cosy and comfortable. There were many thoughtful additions to help make our stay more comfortable, like rugs, magazines, quirky decor to name a few. Our little dog thoroughly enjoyed the enclosed outdoor area as did we. We loved our stay here.

Tiny, but so comfy
We stayed 2 nights to be in the area for the Ballarat marathon. Loved the house! Had everything we needed and was very comfy. We loved pottering around Creswick, eating yummy food, walking the walks. Definitely on the “come back here” list

Overnight stay
Love this cabin. Perfect for our overnight stay as we walked some of the gold fields track. Cosy, warm, close to town and love all the thoughtful features and styling. I would stay here anytime I am in Creswick.

Relax by the lake.
Gorgeous little cabin. The position was perfect especially if you have a dog wth you…lake walks at yr doorstep and swimming. Also fenced yard was perfect for our little dog. Loved the verandah and the view and all the outdoor sitting areas. Great value for money.

The house was in a great location overlooking the local park and swimming hole. The accommodation was clean and tidy and had all of the facilities we needed. The hot waters flow was a little slow but still allowed us to do everything needed like wash dishes and shower. Great place to stay.

Very epic place i did big super backflip off of diving board and almost got eaten by a dirt shark (watch out for dirt sharks in the lake) house was a little small but lake is best part did I mention about the dirt sharks in the lake?

Peaceful stay in a beautiful setting
We loved the little cabin and its 60s decor - perfect! Very peaceful and nice walks around the lake. Ian was great to deal with and super quick to answer a questions - thanks! The dogs enjoyed their stay too and had plenty of room to explore and sniff. A very enjoyable stay - thank you!

Perfect Oasis
Cosy, clean, comfortable with everything you need. Quirky retro décor. Close enough to walk to town centre but also situated in a quiet, peaceful, private location. Lots to explore around Creswick, heaps of walking tracks. Plenty of easy daytrips to enjoy or just chill on the wonderful balcony overlooking the lake. Absolutely great value!! (cheaper than a cabin at the local caravan park with a lot more to offer). Ian is just a phone call away if you need anything. Thank you, Ian, for providing me with some well needed respite from the stresses of Melbourne. I am already planning my next visit.

Great little gem in Creswick
Very enjoyable stay in a cozy house in Creswick. A great place for a weekend away with my husband and I and our small dog. House was very neat and tidy with everything we needed and the outside fully fenced area with a deck was great to sit on and relax and enjoy a coffee or a drink. Close to the Main Street and across the road from the lake. Would definitely stay again.

Home away home.
It was an excellent holiday place to stay we enjoyed walks around Sr George's Lake many times. what a sensory experience.When we find a holiday home with various walking tracks I believe we must not miss it as this holiday gave us lots of activities to do. Enjoyed walking along the river bank near Ballarat. Ballarat has Unique ancient buildings shows it's rich Australian culture.900 mts from this place there is a bakery has the best five star food.we will visit again.Clunes close to this place first gold is found.It's nice to get away from busy lifestyle.

Very small accommodation
The place is actually smaller than it looks in the listing. Comfy beds and couch. It worked for a quick getaway, but I wouldn't want an extended stay. It's close to all amenities, so that's a plus.

This was great a place, loved it. It had everything that you need when you arrive. Great seating outside to unwind with a beverage and enjoy the open area and the view. Although, cabin space was a little smaller than probably anticipated it wasn't hard to settle in. *note that if you have mobility issues (eg. knees for us) there are stairs as the only entry to the front door. We had our 2 dogs and spaces were amazing and they settled very well. The town centre is a very quick drive up and back to bakeries, supermarket and shops. Great food and people. It's location, accessibility and ease of the property was excellent to which ever direction in the district that you chose to go. If you're an early morning person, there's a massive park across the road and distance to the main road is not far at all. A nice morning walk! Thank you so much. Highly recommend this to be a place to stay and I would stay again.

Hi Lisa, thanks for your positive feedback! I've just checked my records and the mattress was replaced with a $1000 new one only 12 weeks ago to replace the new one that people commented on as being too hard..... seems we can't win on levels of comfort...!. Cheers/regards IAN

A wonderful place to stay
We could not be happier with our stay at this property with our 4 1/2 year old son and 3 dogs. It exceeded our expectations and we would definitely want to stay here again if/ when we return to the area. Would highly recommend.

Very nice location

We had hardly any sleep because of the condition of the bed!
I would have rated 5/5 and everything was fine up until the moment we went to bed. The bed was like laying on a slab of concrete with squeaking every time you moved. The bed should be taken to the tip and dumped. I don't have any back issues but after being in the bed for less than 15 minutes I had back and hip pains. It was impossible to get comfortable AT ALL!. This is no exagerration. The owner should replace that bed. It us a safety issue because we needed to do a long day trip the next day. Because we basically had no sleep we needed to take more breaks on our trip which made the trip even longer. Police say 'Fatigue kills' so the owner of the accommodation should do the right thing and provide a comfortable bed. Will not stay there again unless there is a new bed!!

I have contacted my most recent guests and they are quite happy with the bedding and mattress comfort... however I've decided to spend $900 to upgrade the current double bed which is only 6 months old to a superior model based on your off peak booking rate. Well located and equipped property
This cosy cabin was very clean, location wonderful (verandah overlooking lake), and well equipped. We enjoyed four very comfortable and pleasant days there and were glad of access to shops, surrounding bushland and lovely countryside.

Ideal Stopover
