The Fisherman’s Dream is a spacious two-bedroom, two-bath penthouse condo at Spinnaker Condominiums, offering the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. With an open kitchen, dining, and living area, this property offers a unique view of the community pool, waterfront deck, and canal, plus a reserved boat slip (up to 24'). The master bedroom features a king-size bed, private bathroom, and a dedicated desk area, while the second bedroom offers a cozy queen bed. The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa, making it perfect for families or groups. With everything you need to cook and relax, this condo is truly a fisherman’s paradise! The Spinnaker Complex is currently under renovations. However; the parking, pool, boat slips, and docks are still open. Pricing reflects this, and no extra discounts apply. We apologize for the inconvenience.

CLEANING
-CLEAN BED PROMISE: Padre Escapes launders our standardized linen, including every comforter, every sheet, every pillowcase, every towel - EVERY TIME!
-After each stay we replace all towels and linens from our 6100SF laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
-Every property is stocked with bath towels and washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property, along with one hand towel per bathroom.
-These starter amenities are provided for your convenience until you can go shopping and are not replenished during your stay: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.
-We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your arrival.

-A two-night minimum stay is required.
-A signed Rental Agreement is required prior to check in. Contracting guests of Padre Escapes must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID. The ID must match the guest’s name on the reservation.

Great Location

Nice condo close to everything. Clean and roomy. Lots of construction and workmen around all day. There was a problem upon arrival, the staff worked with us and got it resolved, very helpful. Location was great!

We did not stay in this unit. There were several issue with our bookings and we had to change our until three times due to different facility issues. We will not book here again. Our unit needed everyday modernizing. There weren’t enough power outlets, the lighting was bad, we had to use flashlights to get up and down the outside stairs. Our breaker flipped several times every day. We could not use the master shower. This unit should not have been rented during the construction. It was loud and republic waste emptied the dumpster at 6:20 am. I could go on and on but I won’t.

Would stay again!

Loved the location! It was perfect for a family of 4 and could accommodate more! My only wish was that we could have watched kids fishing from the balcony…the balcony overlooked the pool which probably would be great for the summer but could not see kids while fishing…but not a deal breaker, would stay again!

Great Location

Less than 10 minutes to the beach. This is a second floor unit with an outside entrance. Mosquitos were waiting to ambush us at the door. Be prepared! We didn’t spend time in the condo. It served its purpose.

Very nice place

We loved this place. We came with 6 people. 4 adults, and 1 teenager/1 kid. The beds were very nice, but I recommend the place replace the futon bed. The bottom of their is broken, and only one kid could sleep on it in a weird direction, and not comfortable. We actually brought an extra roll away bed just in case the futon was not big enough for both the kids. I called and let the Padres Escapes people know, and they did not offer a solution or additional bed. So we made do with what we had. We put pillows up under the futon to help a little. The only problem was one pillow got caught up in the hinges and tore. I can not seem to find a place to email Padre Escapes with this. But the place was clean and comfortable otherwise, and the location was great! The residences that live there are not happy that it is a vacation rental location, and they will voice it. But just be nice and respectful and they are all friendly. The wifi did not work while we were there, I let Padre Escapes know, but no one came to fix. Not a big deal, again, we brought our own so it worked out for movies and the news we watched. The place was great. The maintenance man, CJ, was fast to communicate and came to take pictures of the bed. Bring your own seasonings, which they do mention in their description. And bring your fishing items for the great deck/fishing area! Thank you for opening up your place to my family for this stay/getaway to one of our favorite towns in Texas.

Great spot

We enjoyed this stay a lot. There are some games and books. We enjoyed playing scrabble. It’s very close to whitecap beach and mustang island state park. There is some construction down the street but it did not impact us at all. The only downside to the condo is the showers. They really need to be updated. The shower curtain is not long enough and the rings fall off. My youngest was scared of slipping as there is no grip. There is no lighting in the shower or from the outside that could help. It wouldn’t keep me from coming back.

Maybe Not For Families With Small Children

The property was lovely, but we had issues with people at the pool until the wee hours of the morning, playing loud music and hollering at each other - including an apparent violent domestic. Police were called to the complex at least twice during our four-day stay. I imagine these were one-off events, but since the walls of the unit were fairly thin, our baby was woken up a couple of times.

Relaxing vacation

Really enjoyed the island, beaches were great. The rental was great, clean, comfortable beds and pillows, quiet at night and in the day. Area was quiet made me feel safe . Pool was a plus and the water in the back was great for fishing . Totally recommend it to others and I’d return for sure.
