We went in Sept. after labor day and had a great stay. The place was clean, modern, had everything we needed. Our teen sons love to fish so they really enjoyed being able to fish on the channels right outside the back door. They caught lots of trout (using live shrimp bait) and lots of ribbon fish. The beach is walkable but it's a quick drive to the free parking lot and Mustang Island had the nicest cleanest beaches out of all the beaches in the area. We recommend bringing your own groceries because the stores and restaurants around there are expensive. The pool was very nice and not busy. Our teenagers had fun using it. There were issues keeping the hot tub heated which our friend made some phone calls and we figured out how to fix it. The apartment itself was nice but the grounds could use some cleaning. There was trash, bird poop, and palm seeds all over the stairwells and around the area. Seems like that could be easily cleaned up with a broom. Also, since most guests will going to the beach, it would be nice if they had a broom in the apartment too, so that we could sweep up sand ourselves. Other than that, it was a very nice stay and we would definitely come again. Our friends stayed in another apartment in the same complex and that worked out great! We share meals on the deck by the pool.
