"The Black Magnolia was the perfect retreat/getaway! The house, impeccably clean, is centrally located and within walking distance to all the town sights and restaurants. Should you choose to take the trolly to the wineries, it picks up at the front door! The home is far enough away from the train tracks, you don’t hear the hustling of the cars or the warning horn. "I wish we could give a 10 star review! This is our 4th stay at this pet friendly house! It’s is clean and well maintained. We come for time on the lake and love how close it is to the boat launch. The owner, Scott could not be any friendlier or accommodating. He goes out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and is very quick to respond to any requests or questions. We are getting ready to schedule several additional trips here for the 2026 boating season. "

"Property near train track and river, but home is well insulated and blocked most all sound. Neighborhood quiet and respectful. Quick walk to mainstreet, Katy trail, casino area. Exterior is not a reflection of interior. Exterior could use a power wash. Interior is simple, yet welcoming. Communication with property owner/manager was timely and clear."

"Very clean. We enjoyed the stay. Not very far from downtown Hermann. Great stargazing at night. I saw 4 shooting stars and my daughter was able to see Andromeda. We wished we had a stronger telescope and binoculars. The king size bed was very comfortable. My husband actually slept in late for a change. We will definitely be back. "
