Guest Access:

Our home is located in a safe, serene, and walkable neighborhood.



As our guests, you'll have access to your own private driveway which can hold two to three vehicles as well as a one-car garage for keeping your choice vehicle protected from the elements. There is also ample street parking right out front mere steps from the front door.



During your stay you will have private access to our entire home, the front yard, the back patio and the fully enclosed backyard.



The Neighborhood:

Tucked into the quiet residential streets of Stratmoor Hills on the south side of Colorado Springs, this pocket sits with Cheyenne Mountain filling the western skyline and easy access to everything the south end has to offer. It is a calm, established neighborhood where guests can settle in away from the tourist crush while still landing within ten to fifteen minutes of the region's biggest attractions.



The Broadmoor World Arena is less than a mile away, putting concerts, hockey games, figure skating championships, and graduation ceremonies within a five minute drive. Guests attending an event can skip the highway entirely.



Local dining starts just around the corner. Alfonso's Mexican Food is a couple of blocks from the door and opens at seven for breakfast burritos. The B Street cluster a short walk east brings Pizza Bravo and Daniel's Taco Shop, while Yeyo Will Native Puerto Rican Food sits half a mile south. Thai Satay and Urban Animal Brewery round out the options about a mile west along Cheyenne Meadows Road.



Green space is close and plentiful. Stratmoor Hills Park is a quarter mile away with a covered pavilion and playground, Cheyenne Meadows Park adds a walking loop and open field half a mile west, and Quail Lake Park sits about a mile north with fishing, paddleboarding, and a shoreline path. For real mountain terrain, North Cheyenne Cañon Park is roughly fifteen minutes west, home to Helen Hunt Falls, the Seven Bridges Trail, and the climb up Mt. Cutler.



Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, one of the highest zoos in the country, is about ten minutes away, with Seven Falls and the grounds of The Broadmoor nearby. Cheyenne Mountain State Park lies ten minutes south for hiking, disc golf, and archery, and Garden of the Gods is a straightforward twenty minute drive northwest.



Fort Carson Gate 1 is roughly a five minute drive, making this an easy base for families visiting soldiers, attending ceremonies, or managing a PCS transition.



Getting Around:

By Car: A car is the easiest way to explore the region, and the location makes it simple. Highway 115 and South Academy Boulevard are both minutes away, with I-25 access just north. Downtown Colorado Springs is about ten minutes, the Colorado Springs Airport roughly twelve, and Fort Carson under ten.



On Foot: The surrounding streets are quiet and residential, with sidewalks and low traffic that make for a pleasant evening walk. Stratmoor Hills Park is a five minute stroll, Alfonso's is a couple of blocks away, and the B Street restaurants are about a ten minute walk. Sightseeing farther afield calls for a vehicle.



By Bike: The neighborhood's gentle grades make for relaxed riding, and the loop path around Quail Lake Park is an easy mile north. Guests planning longer rides should bring their own bikes, as rentals are concentrated downtown.



Public Transit: Mountain Metro Transit serves the area with routes running along the World Arena corridor and South Academy Boulevard. Service is available but limited in frequency, so a car remains the more practical option for most itineraries.



Rideshare: Uber and Lyft operate reliably throughout Colorado Springs with short wait times in this area. A ride downtown typically runs about fifteen minutes.

Pets must not be left alone in our house unless they are crated.

Pets must be kept off of the beds, chairs, and sofa.
