Looking for that great escape in the Colorado foothills? Tired of the same ol' vacation spots? This Cascade, CO vacation rental is what you need! Welcome to "Foothills Frolic" in Cascade. This isn't just any vacation rental; it's a memory-making, laughter-inducing haven situated in the heart of nature's finest backdrop. You'll be an easy drive away to the endless attractions of Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, and nearby scenic spots like Pikes Peak and Santa's North Pole.

Relax on our front porch with a coffee, debate life's mysteries in our private hot tub, or just enjoy a BBQ fiesta under the bistro lighting. Oh, and did we mention the gas fire pit? All are nestled in a private fenced back patio.

Step into our sun-kissed living room, where soft ambient light dances through, inviting you to just relax! Every corner has been designed to evoke a sense of warmth, connection, and comfort. The room centers around a traditional wood fireplace, its gentle crackle promising cozy evenings under its glow, sipping hot cocoa or engrossed in captivating stories. The kitchen exudes a nostalgic charm. A place where memories are baked and tales are stirred. With its heartwarming bar seating, it's an inviting spot for breakfast whispers and evening wine-downs. The Smart refrigerator stands proudly, stocked, and ready to assist in your culinary endeavors. Every utensil and appliance beckons you to craft meals with love, laughter, and a sprinkle of creativity. A space where every meal feels like coming home.

There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main floor and enough beds for up to 10 adults/kids. Sleep soundly, in this mountain retreat; the master bedroom has a Queen bed with an en-suite bathroom, and bedroom 2 includes a Queen Bed and Twin Bunk Bed (no pillow fights, please!). You will also find extra sleeping with 3 Full Futons (because we believe in luxury lounging), Queen Air Mattress (for the spontaneous), and a Pack 'n Play (tiny tots need their rest too). Two futons are in the living room and one is in the basement kid's playroom.

Head down the spiral staircase, to the entertainment zone! Our game room is the literal definition of a funhouse – foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, and a dartboard. The kid's playroom has a futon and plenty of kids' games/toys. Our movie room is complete with a Smart TV – perfect for binge-watching that show everyone's been talking about (you know the one). Kick back and relax on the reclining sofa and enjoy

4WD or AWD is recommended in winter (Mother Nature can be quite the drama queen), stairs to access the home (your daily step count will thank us), and there are 2 external security cameras to ensure our beautiful foliage doesn't up and leave. Parking? We got you covered! (Literally, for 2 vehicles).

Family Vacation - Mother son trip

We wanted a mountain view with backyard and hottub.It was overall an ok fit. The upstairs furniture was not the most comfortable and to get downstairs was a bit complicated with the small spiral staircase. Also, thought there would be coffee and some condiments provided, but there was none -so had to treck into town to get all the necessities. Rental is geared more towards younger kids and my grown boys didn't fit in the bunk beds and futons were a bit small. Enough room to work it out.

property lacks small but important attention to detail

This property could be so much better with a little attention to detail. One major problem with the property is that the bedroom doors are barn-door style doors that offer no sound privacy. The two bedrooms are directly across from each other, and the doors do not muffle sound from the rooms at all. They should be replaced with regular doors. Additionally, this property lacked some odd items: there was no luggage rack or dresser in either bedroom. I had no place to put my suitcase but on the floor. The bathrooms were not supplied with kleenex. I had to buy a box at the grocery store. The ice maker in the freezer was not hooked up to water, and there were no ice trays at the property. We had to purchase ice. There was no microwave. There was a bit of salt in the cabinet but no pepper. In the bedroom with an attached bath, the same sliding barn door closes both the bedroom and the bathroom inside the bedroom. So if you close the bathroom door, the bedroom is wide open. The bed in the main bedroom is small. I think it was listed as a queen, but I'm guessing it was a full. The description listed parking in front and back of the property, but there was no way to access the parking in back due to a large drop off from the street. It showed that this property is managed by a rental company and is not actually anyone's vacation home. We had a good time, but these small annoyances, among other small details, frustrated us about this house.

We opted for the mountains of CO this year. The house was perfectly located for everything we wanted to do while in the area. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing space for a large family.

A clean, family friendly find. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this little house! It was a good fit for our family. The kids enjoyed the game room in the basement and the hot tub was a hit as well. One thing that is important to note is the spiral staircase. The stairs are shown in the photos. If you are a larger person (weight or height), you might find it difficult to get to the basement via the spiral stairs. They are fairly narrow. It wasn’t a problem for us- but worth noting for those that are on the larger side. There is a separate entrance to get to the basement, however, it requires that you go out the front door and go down some steps outside to a side door. The laundry is located in the basement- so if you plan on doing laundry and you think the spiral stairs won’t work for you- this might be an inconvenience and a factor to consider. Overall, I would stay here again. The location was close to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. It felt more secluded than an in-town location. The place was charming and VERY clean!

Good stay with a minor hiccup

The location and property are fantastic. We arrived right at our designated check-in time of 4pm and the cleaning service was still there. Called the property manager and got things settled but we couldn't enter the property for another 30 minutes while the cleaning crew took their time leaving. Other than that minor hiccup, the stay was nice and the property had great amenities. The bedroom door situation was unique as both bedrooms use barn-style doors. For one bedroom, this one barn door doubles as the bedroom and bathroom door. Just something to be aware of before your stay. The check-out process was simple and there were plenty of materials from the owners that include things to do nearby.

awesome location

This is a perfect location if you are looking to get away into the mountains. There is tons to do in the area and amazing views out both the front and the back door. The internet is super fast and tons of amenities, I would highly recommend or come back to this property.

This property is conveniently located close to Woodland Park and Manitou Springs. We liked the mountain setting and cooler temperatures (compared to Colorado Springs). The parking is a bit wonky. There's one spot in the front and one in the back, so technically two, but it was super difficult to get and out of the one in the back. If you have a four wheel drive, fine, but a regular car will have trouble on the grade. There are two bedrooms, but one has an ensuite bathroom where a single door rolls between bathroom entrance and bedroom entrance. So if you like to sleep with the door to the bedroom closed for privacy and you also like to have the bathroom door closed for privacy, you can't do both at the same time. Plus the rolling mechanism is loud and sticks so don't try to move the door from one opening to the other in the middle of the night! Word to the wise--there's no microwave. I realize (now) that it's not in the list of amenities, which is like !!!??? In this day and age, who doesn't have a microwave in a rental house? I am the type who lets her coffee get cold and then there's no way to heat it up, so I had to make a new cup each time. I should have paid better attention when I booked. Also watch your head on the stove hood. Everyone in my family hit it at least once. It's right in the middle of the island. Should have orange tape or something on it. We had a good time on our vacation and managed to make the less than stellar elements of the house work.

Went above and beyond for us!

It is a wonderful place. Management was amazing. They provided us with flowers and champagne which we did request for our honeymoon. Then there was a huge snow storm and they had someone come dig us out. House is amazing. Loved the movie room and game room and hot tub. We really enjoyed watching the snow from the huge window. Love the location but management made it an amazing trip.
