Colin was an amazing host. We had a few issues but he was fast on getting them fixed. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. The home was very welcoming and beautiful. Everything worked as it should. Thank you.

Overall the house was located in a convenient part of town, close to the local grocery stores and restaurants. The neighborhood however, was run down. The bathroom had no ventilation and constantly smelled musty/moldy. View of mountains out the front door was a plus but overall, probably wouldn’t stay again.

The house was exactly what we needed. There was a first floor bedroom which was perfect for elderly and the backyard was set up to enjoy. The communication with the owner was timely and clear and any information we needed was provided.

Relaxing

So was a little taken aback when we first got there as the yard was very overgrown. We were afraid that the house was not going to be as advertised. Lucky for us the inside was wonderful and clean. The upstairs was warm as the ac doesn’t get up there but we opened the windows and got a nice cross breeze. I was very pleased with the communication when I had a question or needed something taken care of. Would definitely stay again.

Great for Families!

The house was amazing much bigger than my family and I are used to. Had a great view of the mountains.. We absolutely fell in love with the house and Colorado, would definitely stay again. Also the owner was very attentive and responded really quickly to any and all questions!

Review

Nice little place yall have but could use a little more amenities. More pots and pans and maybe a can opener that I had borrowed from a nice neighbor. Have the cleaning ladies do a little more better job. Floor was filthy and inside couches full of crumbs and trash.

Sketchy Location

DO NOT BOOK THIS!!! Sketchy location, no Tranquility found here. Actually brought on some heart palpitations when we drove up to back of house!!! My Teenagers were feeling uneasy and would not get out of the car. My 11 year old was begging me not to stay there. This experience was the only dark spot on our trip to CO. Although the property listed as a 3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, and interior pics looked good and a foosball table made me think this would be a good place for some down time on our family vacation. I would not suggest for a family. When we arrived, Google maps took us through the road behind the house, after we turned by a flashing Bar sign, we had passed some random potentially vagrant man on streets, and then saw a largely Graffitied building and a house with boarded up windows. Then Google announces “we are here!!!”” I was kind of FREAKING OUT!! Then we did make it around to the front of the house and saw the house number. A little better from the front, but at this time my husband was feeling uneasy about unloading at this location and allowing our children out in this neighborhood. The exterior and yard were run down and crappy. I did go inside to check it out. The inside was updated and looked clean, at first glance, but much smaller than pictures (but that is normal and I expected that) that being said the bathrooms were quite small. I also thought about just coming in and eating our Jimmy Johns we had just picked up and doing a load of laundry. But I didn’t find the laundry on the 1st 2 levels and was too scared to go into the dungy, musty smelling basement. Not worth it since I would not stay down there to do laundry anyway. In the end my kids would not enter the house so we had to find a hotel last minute. I know I agreed to no refunds at this point. But I communicated my concerns and experiences with Colin in hopes we could work out something, anything really, just to help me feel like I didn’t just get took. I asked for a refund for one days stay, and he replied that he could not do any refunds, as expected. I pushed further to see if I could at least get my cleaning fee back as we did not stay there and no cleaning needed. And at that point I did not even get a response from Colin and yet to see anything from him.

Worst Vrbo I’ve stayed in

So I knew from the listing that it wasn’t the most presentable home from the outside but thought the inside made up for it. I was wrong, not only was the front and backyard littered with trash and cigarette butts but also dangerous building materials laying everywhere so obviously I could not let my kids in either yard. After entering the home it was easily noticeable someone just did a very poor job on cleaning if they did at all. The worst part was after a long day of traveling I had to personally re wash all sheets, towels and blankets because they were filthy. When I brought this up to Colin, the contact all he said was a very short sorry. Extremely disappointing.

Definitely not as nice as the pictures.

The upstairs is cold and the home had scattered garbage bags throughout the cupboard with old opened food. The backyard has a small nice area but the rest of it looks like a mini war zone with a boarded up house in the back.

Quiet Neighborhood, great access to highway and to food, fuel, etc.

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover

Great location but sketchy neighborhood. Clean inside and spacious. Plenty of room. Kitchen had all supplies needed. Washer/dryer was used everyday. Ceiling fans would be nice to have in each room.

This place is great and has potential to be even better!!

Came to Colorado Springs for my Bachelor Party with my groomsmen! Overall the stay was great! Everything pictured on the website is accurate and the instructions for the check in and check out are very easy to follow! All of the reviews that are on here positive and negative are very accurate as well! This home is great the only downfall and suggestion is the add in air conditioning units whether it’s in the window or floor air conducting units! The upstairs does get a bit steamy but if you’re there in the spring or fall season the windows being open would be just enough! Over it was a great stay and would definitely come back but I’d highly suggest investing in some time of A/C!

Upgraded old house, but needs more

Overall the house was nice and the host was good at communicating. Location was good, close to Garden of the Gods and had easy access to other locations. The house was an older house with some modern improvements. Many of these improvements were very nice and made it an inviting place. It does need more modern improvements. It does not have A/C and many of the windows do not open or have missing/damaged screens. Windows should be replaced if not planning to install A/C. They did provide many fans to help with the heat. The bedding was not clean and did not figure that out until flipping the sheets back when getting ready to go to sleep. Had to strip all of the beds and wash the bedding before going to sleep. A newer clothes washer and dryer is in the basement. Works great, but a clothes basket was not provided. Needs a good thorough maintenance walk through and cleaning, same as with many places that I have stayed. I would stay at this place again.

Great for a family

This property is great if you plan to do a bunch of local things. It's about an hour from Denver and Pueblo and Lyft/Uber is almost non-existent out there, so make sure you rent a car to get around. The house was perfect for our needs. Got a full kitchen and bathroom with the added fun of the foosball table. Highly recommend for your family vacation.

Disappointing

The owner of this property has clearly put energy in trying to restore an old home. When we arrived it was 80 degrees outside and the house only had one fan to use. When we contacted the owner he said there should be one in each room. There was not. Contacted him again and he said to “open the windows to allow for the Colorado air”. We had certainly tried that; however, the house is surrounded by busy streets that the outside noises made it impossible to sleep with windows open. Also of concern with open windows in this home is the presence of several transient men who sit on the street not far from the home. Not to mention that a window downstairs was plexiglass that was falling out of the window itself. The upstairs was so hot it was not tolerable for sleeping and our teen had to sleep on the couch to try and stay cool. When we followed up again about requesting a fan the owner replied, “I can try and have someone bring one tomorrow.” No fan was ever delivered. The basement where the laundry is located is so incredibly musty we opted not to do laundry. The carpet in the laundry room is actually wet from some sort of water. The kitchen is nicely stocked however several of the dishes in the cupboard were so dirty we had to wash them before using them. We were instructed to leave the garbage in bins in the backyard; however, there were no bins. Perhaps they are somewhere with the fans that were supposed to be in the house. When we expressed our disappointment with the property the owner replied, “sorry for your disappointment I hope you have a nice trip .” I have stayed in many Vrbo’s with nothing but positive experiences and have never written a poor review, until now. I would not recommend this home or property owner.

The property was clean and in a great location. Colin’s communication was so efficient throughout the entire process! Our kids loved the space and it had everything we needed for our 4 day stay!
