In the splendid setting of Collina d’Oro, just a few minutes from Lugano, GARDEN FLAT is the ideal choice for those who wish to spend a vacation immersed in the beauty of Ticino.

On the ground floor, a bright open space hosts a modern open-plan kitchen, enriched by a large peninsula with a dining table, and a relaxation area with a comfortable double sofa bed, perfect for accommodating two additional guests (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared, we think it is proper to use the sofa during non-sleeping hours. You will find sheets, pillows and blankets in the closet/shelf most adjacent to the sofa). A French door leads directly to the garden, a green oasis framed by shrubs and palm trees, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the place and the surrounding nature. The parquet flooring, which characterizes every room of the house, contrasts with the white walls and blends perfectly with the external landscape. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, where the double bedroom offers an intimate and comfortable environment, with a large sliding-door wardrobe providing ample space and convenience. The contemporary-designed bathroom is equipped with a shower, perfect for a moment of relaxation after a day exploring the area.

Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided.

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

The apartment has a private parking space in the communal garage.

Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment.

GARDEN FLAT is located in Gentilino, a picturesque hamlet of the municipality of Collina d’Oro, surrounded by greenery and just a few minutes from Lugano. The area is renowned for its hilly landscapes, which offer breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. A short walk from the apartment leads to the Muzzano Lake, a natural retreat perfect for relaxation and immersion in silence. Collina d’Oro is also home to Montagnola, famous for hosting the German writer Hermann Hesse, who lived here for half of his life. Literature and history enthusiasts can follow a fascinating educational trail with eleven stops, retracing the key places linked to his life, including the houses he lived in and the views that inspired him. Despite its peaceful, nature-immersed atmosphere, the center of Lugano is just a 10-minute drive away, offering the perfect balance between tranquility and proximity to city services.

How to get there:

By car: From the A2 motorway, take the “Lugano Sud” exit and set your GPS; you will reach the apartment in 8-10 minutes.

By train: From Lugano station, take bus 436 towards Agra, get off at the “Gentilino-Rubiana” stop (3 stops, about 3 minutes), and walk 5 minutes to reach the apartment. Alternatively, take the S60 train towards Ponte Tresa, get off at “Sorengo-Laghetto” station, and walk about 15 minutes to the property.
