We offer a serene woodland setting with views overlooking our backyard pond, above ground pool, gardens, and creek valley. Located a short drive down a private road with no neighbors in sight, we offer a tranquil getaway or a great base If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle for the birds, bees, and forest look no further. Our well appointed walkout basement apartment features a large kitchenette area, oversized walk-in shower bathroom, king size bedroom and large living room. What makes this property a true gem though is the view when you walk outside. We have 600 sq feet of covered deck space with a dining area, porch swing, bar area, dart board, and above ground pool with its own deck space. We have a quarter acre pond with the opportunity to feed our enormous Blue Catfish from our dock surrounded by beautiful garden grounds. SORRY, NO FISHING ON PROPERTY IS ALLOWED. Lit walking paths allow for day or evening enjoyment.
Please note the pool is currently closed for the season. This is a basement walkout apartment. We live upstairs but ensure the privacy and quietness for our guests stay. It is not handicap accessible and does have a gravel and stepping stone walking path with a slight grade. It is well lit and marked for evening arrivals.
We do have dogs and cats on the property but they will be housed with us or kept on the upper section of our property.
You’ll encounter tons of wildlife here. We have put in extensive garden spaces to foster pollinators, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. We do treat around the guests quarters and pool to help control the bug population. We do use fly and mosquito traps and have a bug zapper for the evenings. We do not offer refunds of any kind for any issue guests may have due to the natural setting we live in.
If you love fishing, we are only three miles from Windsor Crossing, which is a much quieter launch on the Tebo Creek arm, or Long Shoal Marina is 8 miles towards Warsaw with boat slips. We have a full circle drive with ample space to accommodate truck and trailer. A fish cleaning station is available here at the house and we will happily dispose of all the waste directly into our garden compost. A nearby boat rental is available at Hickory Hollow Resort just two miles from us. There is also Dollar General nearby, Running Wild BBQ Food truck, Frank’s Fish Shack, and Donna’s Diner which is highly touted as the best Tenderloin in the area.
