Spacious upper level of duplex close to main attractions and desired destinations in Cleveland. Five comfy beds, one single, and one futon to accommodate a larger group of travelers. This property has gorgeous mature trees lining the sidewalks with plenty of restaurants and local shopping just a short drive away. Not Good!!! Pictures are very deceiving; does not match condition of the unit. Upon entering at check-in (afternoon) there were 2 old AC units that were not turned on, so it was extremely hot. There was an odd odor. A cracked door at the bottom of the stairs (that goes into the main downstairs house) was cracked with no lock or doorknob. We were told there is a refrigerator or a couch behind the door so no need to worry that it could be “unsafe”. No lock on the door at the top of the stairs that enters the actual unit. No doors on the bedroom. Bunk beds felt shaky. A blanket covering an old dilapidated futon in the living room. Outlet in the living room had brown stains like it has been too hot at one point. Very outdated. We only changed clothes there we did not stay overnight as we had a young child with us and did not feel it was the safest option.

Not as advertised! At allll!!!!!

The picture shows the WHOLE house . However, it’s actually an 8th of it at best! The entrance is hazardous as it’s up steep stairs in a dark hallway where the light only occasionally works! There’s a nail sticking up coming out of one of the stairs. The smoke detector has doesn’t even work and the gas stove is barely functioning! There’s no doors except for the ONE bedroom for privacy! Even though it “sleeps” a lot of people that’s only because a bunch of beds are squeezed into a VERY small space! There’s only ONE bathroom for “all the sleepers” ! The bathtub is tiny and dirty! There’s no way this place should cost what it does! Absolutely ridiculous 1000000% disappointing!

DumpTitle: Disappointing Stay — Safety, Cleanliness, and Maintenance Concerns

I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals, but this one was especially disappointing. The condition of the property did not match the recent glowing reviews, and I have serious concerns—especially around safety and cleanliness.We found dead roaches in the kitchen, which was extremely unsettling and raised obvious questions about cleanliness and pest control. The towels were stained, even though they appeared to be clean. The plastic blinds were broken, offering almost no privacy. The leather couch was ripped and sagging, and the whole place felt neglected.Even worse, there was an exposed electrical outlet in the kitchen with wires laying on the counter—a clear safety hazard. I could only locate one smoke detector, and it didn’t work. As someone who owns rental property myself, I found this unacceptable.We also heard an animal moving around in the attic during the day—possibly a squirrel, raccoon, or rat—which added to the uneasy feeling. The bedroom mattress was uncomfortable, and I ended up sleeping on one of the bunk beds instead.The only real positive was the location, which was convenient to downtown. But overall, this felt more like a crash pad than a legitimate rental. I would not stay here again unless major improvements are made. I also took videos of my claims. I waited to do this review due to worries of a retaliation charge. I read in previous responses by the owner that the complaints should be voiced while there. This place needs work and not a quick fix.

people with too much time on their hands

Everything I say can be backed by recording because I always expect to be falsely accused. The apartment is not bad looking. it was clean although there were cards left on the floor. The walls a re thin and the downstairs neighbors are not above stalking you 24/7. They will let you know that they are stalking you by making a comment whenever you shift . When ignored they will try making noises past quiet tome to get your attention. Stalking and harassment seems to be the cool thing now

Raccoons were in the attic and the home owner did nothing.

Was the most craziest place I’ve ever stayed at. Raccoons were in the attic have videos and recordings of them in the attic. When I told the home owners they said they looked down the chimney?!?! I sad the attic. Got video and recording of the sound of them up in the attic to prove this. Do not recommend this place at all!

This is a very, very dirty property. I understand old homes and have stayed in many, but this goes beyond that. Grime on the walls and in the windows next to where you lay your head to sleep. Dirty kitchen, bathroom, doors, really gross. Debris on the bedding. I reached out to the host right after we got in and sent loads of pictures. The initial reply was - you have already checked in. Checking in consists of typing in the stairwell door code, so how were we supposed to know prior to going in? The photos were dismissed with an admission that there was visible debris on the bedding. The host declined to waive any fees, including our cleaning fee. I called the booking agent, who tried to get the host on the phone and advised he would not pick up. Also, there is no lock on the unit door and the other 2 units all have access to the same entry stairwell so we had to baricade the door at night. One of the other units' door was actually open in the stairwell the entire time. The host ultimately refused all remedy, and 3 days later the booking agent offered to pay our cleaning fee out of pocket after they viewed the photos. I can see that the host attacks anyone who posts a negative review, but we were great guests and have photos with metadata, dates, time stamps, and location to back it all up.

Don't ever stay here!

Worst start to a family vacation ever! When we first walked in, we thought the space was definitely smaller then the pictures made it look. We brought in our things, turned on the air conditioner to 62 and left for Walmart. We came back almost 2 hours later , and it was still hot and stuffy in there. We turned the oven on to make pizzas, and it took each of them an hour and half to bake because the oven didnt work properly. Next thing ya know, fireworks, and all kinds of chaos ensued all at once. I am not opposed to 4th of july celebration, don't get me wrong, but when car alarms are being set off , every 10 mins at least, and some of the bangs sounding very much like gun shots, mixed in, it was not fewling like a celebration. THEN, BOOM! LIGHTS, T.V AND AIR CONDITIONER GO OUT COMPLETELY! After all that, i was done. All i wanted was to leave there. Here are 10 of us, miserable, and no one would help. I called vrbo throughout all of this, begging them to transfer my $ to a different property....please. Throughout the night, i spent a total of 3 hours on hold with different specialists, who were working on it....ans the " TEAM" would let me know what they could do .in the meantime, the host Nick G. Sent a friend to flip the breaker so we had our 1/2 a@@ Air conditioner back, and a t.v to watch, while i waited for many my vrbo people to HELP ME . We did our best to rest until morning, packed up, and got the hell out of there by 10:30 in the morning. Still waiting on the

Communication horrible

Booked this property on a Monday for three weeks or so for my coworkers to come in on that Friday. Waited 24 hours for confirmation and nothing. Texted and tried to call host, nothing. Just wanted to assure we had a place to stay and a simple confirmation. Another 24 and nothing. On the Vrbo app the trip wasn’t even showing up at all! Called Vrbo and they tried to contact the host. NOTHING. Then they gave me his number, texted called and NOTHING. I need a house now in 48 hours and host is unresponsive. Now I tell Vrbo I no longer want the house do to all of the above. Guess what? That night I get a text from the host asking why I’m cancelling and why would I want to do that? I explained everything as I stated above and he told me that I would not be getting any type of refund. Now I’m letting my credit card company and Vrbo sort it out but I would avoid this host at all costs.

We were ok with this being an older house. The outside of the structure needs cleaned up a bit. It would be nice if the bed sheets and comforters would be freshened up or replaced. Otherwise, it worked for a quick overnight trip to Cleveland.

It did the job as far as location and cost. Couple things that could’ve made it better- I would upgrade at least one mattress, we were not comfortable. Couches we not comfortable. WiFi would’ve been helpful. Door jam during all the unlocking processes.
