A Great Break

I came with two other friends and we had a great four-day break. The setting is beautiful overlooking the lake and there are some easily accessible hiking trails.

Always a wonderful time!

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful place in Clearlake. It's a hidden gem that we hope to return to again soon. Incredibly spacious, everything you need, and outstanding views. The most perfect place for a "staycation" to work from home safely. Hosts are also incredibly responsive if you ever need anything. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Quiet and extremely spacious. Best equipped kitchen I've seen

We were a family of two couples and a single adult. The rooms were all oversized, which particularly was good during COVID since we didn't need to be close together but had lots of room to socialize. Kitchen had every kinds of dishes, glasses pots, appliances, utensils that you could think of . Full laundry area. Many basics (paper towels, plastic bags, soaps, garbage bags, a few spices and a little cooking oil, laundry soap) were provided. Nice view. Wish the deck a little wider as there is no room for a table so while we barbecued, we always had to eat inside. Easy shopping nearby at the Red and White ( 5 minutes away). We were only there for 4 nights, and didn't need more than what they had. Several places nearby to wine taste ( by reservation) and reasonable priced compared to Napa. Clear Lake was not clear and had a lot of algae. Best known for fishing, not swimming. But we rented a boat at a facility about 45 minutes away on the north end of the lake and it was a lot of fun. We had hoped for better hiking but in July, it was just too hot. The AC in the cabin worked great! Owners quickly responded to any questions I had ahead of time about the facilities in the area and what we needed to bring ( just your own clothes and beach towels, really). We did bring our own barbecue grill mats for a much easier cleanup. Check out was very easy. We just cleaned up, got the garbage out and ran the dishwasher. No need to strip beds or vacuum.

Perfect for the Family

Highly recommended property. Communication with Dave was easy and friendly. Everything is just how it is described in the listing. My wife was impressed(which is hard to do). My 15 year old daughter and her friend enjoyed the spacious house. My 8 year old son felt like a king in a castle. Keep the screen doors closed. Great views of the foothills and lake. You can do a short hike around the property. The house was well stocked with most of the essentials of life. Will stay here again.

Very nice house with great view of the lake. No much to say as my kids loved this vacation. Just the outside area could use little more clean specially the spider webs and dust on the window.

Fabulous views

My daughters and I had an amazingly restful few days in this wonderful property. We had so much space and it was an absolute pleasure to cook, eat and hang out in the apartment with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains from almost every room. Would love to return with a larger group one day.

The property was lovely. Beautiful location, beautiful views.

I rented this property for my sister and her family. They had a wonderful time exploring the area. The home was lovely and very welcoming to come to after a day of sightseeing and fun activities.

Great place for family week at the lake!

This was our first VRBO and we were very happy with our choice. The house is very large, lots and lots of room. Nice kitchen (which is good because the dining choices nearby were a little limited), large bedrooms, large living area, great view. Everything went smoothly. We did have a large bass boat with us and that provided a few challenges because the property is on a steep hill, but there are 2 free launches nearby and we had a great time. Spent most of our time fishing but there are lots of nearby vineyards and Mt. Konocti has some great hiking trails. Dave & Christy responded quickly to any questions we had. Thanks!

Great property

We were 2 families with kids stayed here for 2 nights in spring break and everyone enjoyed this property, huge living room and master bed room. View from property is awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice, clean, comfortable home.

We only stayed for two days and the kids didn't want to leave. The house had a very open layout which was conducive to family gatherings. Kitchen had everything that you needed. The area was very nice !

Very spacious nice views the only thing some pots/ dishes were a little greasy maybe dishwasher not cleaning right ?? But I washed pots and dishes as used no biggie overall a great place to relax my family had a great time would come back again great house.

Great location, tons of room, and a great view.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Eagle's Nest. We have stayed at both this property and the smaller property and love the location and the beautiful view. We had several family members with us this trip and we all felt that there was plenty of room inside and out on the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped and the basics are there which is nice. It is challenging to get up there because there is a steep hill and it is difficult to turn around and enter the driveway but we got used to it quickly. My only negatives were that we couldn't find any towels to dry dishes with (there was only small one) and the bedding and pillows are in need of some updating. Overall, this is a great value and very nice property with beautiful views of Clearlake Oaks and Konocti. I would enjoy staying her again.

Quiet spot with a SPECTACULAR view

This was a great place to stay for our friends' wedding in Lucerne. Spacious living area was more than enough space for our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Nicely appointed and convenient to either end of Clear Lake. Only drawback was the steep dirt road and tight switchback turn into the driveway at the house. Once we got there, though, the view made it all worth it!

Wonderful house with amazing views!

We spent a week at Eagle's Nest and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful inside and the view of Clear Lake is amazing! Also, we saw all kinds of wildlife, wild turkeys, jack rabbits and ground squirrels. I highly recommend Eagles Nest when visiting the Clear Lake area.

Great view! Lovely home!

My family stayed here for two nights going into Fourth of July holiday weekend. The owners were very responsive to questions in advance and our suggestions following our stay. It's a lovely open and spacious home with a great view. And so quiet! Note: Due to the direction of the sun and position of the trees, the master stays much warmer than the rest of the house even with the A/C running. We were unable to find any BBQ utensils or meal prep knives. We found a lot of dirty dishes in the cabinets - likely previous guests putting things away dirty and not caught by the cleaners - that we had to rewash before we could use many of them. If you're bringing your family, you're going to need to bring your own pack n play and booster seat. There are only a couple games/puzzles for use and no movies... So be sure to pack anything you need to keep kids entertained. If you're driving in from I-5 on Hwy 20, be aware that there is no cell service for much of that stretch. If you have an unfortunate break down like we did, you'll have to use an emergency call box... of which there are thankfully many along the way. ;) Thank you! We'd stay here again if we go back to Clear Lake!

The home is very nice, but the surrounding area is not very nice. The property is located by run down and neglected properties. It is a shame.

One of a kind property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at Eagle's Nest! We discovered some wonderful new wineries and caught some nice fish during our stay. We enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys that visited the property each morning. The house was beautiful as usual and the views are incredible. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We love the spacious layout of the house. We appreciated the new big screen HD TV, it was perfect for watching the Warriors game. Thanks so much, Craig

Thank you Dave & Christie ! Our stay at Eagles was better than our expectations . The view of the lake , the house was excepionally clean and well stocked...and the jetted tub is what I needed. It was so comfortable we hardly left the house . Booking the room was effortless and fairly priced and will be sure to recomend it to our friends !..can't wait to come back again . Gj

Wonderful House

I love this house and how it's laid out! It's so open and bright and has a beautiful view! This is probably the 4th time I've stayed here. It's always super clean, and easy to keep clean while being there. It's very quiet and we always feel very safe. I can't wait to go back!

Overall Good- a few notes

We overall enjoyed our stay a lot. The view is beautiful, and it was a spacious and clean house. To future guests I'd like to note that we didn't receive our full refund because we had visitors at the house while we were there. I understood that we were to keep the number of guests to what was stated in the agreement, I was not aware we couldn't have friends over while we were there. Also wear shoes on the patio, as we all got splinters from the patio floor and furniture. Also, be aware the lake is a 5-7 minute drive from the house. You are not staying ON or in walking distance of the lake. But, all in all, we enjoyed staying at Eagles Nest.

Lovely house for a large or small group

The house was just as advertised. While only 3 of use stayed there, this would be a great place for a large group. There is lots of open space for cooking, hanging out in the living room/dining room. The place was clean and ready for us, even though we booked at the last minute.
