"The Hydro has so much rich history and the renovation is beautiful. The restaurant is great and the chef outdid themselves with a wonderful dinner. The staff were excellent and so polite.
The bar is fabulous for pre and after dinner cocktails.
The valley view room was a little small, nicely renovated but the bathroom needs an extra shelf for your toiletries.

"Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the Christmas in July decorations. Excellent location, short walk to Echo Point and Scenic World. The only minor negative is that there’s no coffeemaker in the room, just packets of instant coffee. "

"Great spot with a very nice restaurant and lounge area with an open fire. Room was very clean, comfy bed and car was not visible from the road. Close to the highway but didn’t hear anything at night with the doors closed.

And of course then there is the location, which is 1 min. walk from the Conservation hut and the starting point for many of the mountain walks. We covered an extensive walk (4hrs) and a smaller one (1,5hrs), simply...

"Stay here! This hotel is like The Overlook in The Shining, just not scary. My only regret was that I didn't meet Hercule Poirot over breakfast (in The Great Ballroom, of course). The hotel is a time travel. Do youself a favour and stay here. "

"The rooms are newly renovated & excellent value for money! Initially I was in a room next to the construction site which has a big trash pile in front of it, I asked to be moved, which was no problem. The second room had wonderful views, nice and warm and very clean. Highly recommend. "
