"My stay was overshadowed by a payment issue. I chose the pay at property option, but unfortunately my card was declined as it flagged as a suspicious transaction. This would have been easily resolved by contacting my card company, but the receptionist told me that the payment could be linked to an Expedia card attached to the booking, and that Expedia would then contact me to pay them directly.
